Madison County Haunts   Old Fredericktown Road Fredericktown <DIR> Supposedly a tire swing in the woods can be seen from the road. Supposedly the area around the swing is haunted by the ghost of a young girl who was hit and killed by a train on the near by tracks. Visitors to the area report their vehicle windows fogging up for no apparent reason, car engines malfunctioning. These strange occurrences are usually accompanied by the sound of a girl laughing and/or the sound of a train. Location: Old Fredricktown Rd. is off of HWY OO. The area of the haunting is located approx. ½ mile down the gravel on the right side.                 </DIR>
