| to Mom Of Marine While the name of this site is Mom Of Marine, it was set up for the use of ALL FAMILY MEMBERS AND LOVED ONES of all Marines (in Boot Camp at Parris Island/San Diego or those who have already joined the fleet) as a comfortable place to visit, chat and to exchange ideas and images for keeping those letters and care packages to OUR RECRUITS and MARINES informative and fun! As loved ones keeping the home fronts ready for their return, our every heartbeat matches their every footstep.
A LITTLE HISTORY This site was started during the Winter of 2001 while many of our sons and daughters, were in boot camp at Parris Island, SC as a place to share like interests (our recruits). Through this site many of us have been able to meet each other and you will find that many of the members come from that original group. We have been able to watch these recruits grow into the best Marines as they travel through the Corps. As we have grown, we now have members that are wives, as well as a Few of our Proud and Well-Loved Marines. Our main purpose is and always will be to provide support during the good times, and the bad, that you may encounter on your journey with your Marine. Our motto is "Semper Gumby" which stands for "Always Flexible". This is what you have to be with your Marine as things can (and often do) change at the drop of a hat.
