Thérèse Romer, our October 2003 speaker, is a garden writer and conservationist,born in Poland, who travelled the world and visited its gardens as a conference interpreter. For over a decade she and her husband constructed a garden at the historic home they bought in 1972, and restored, near the St. Eustache Church beside Rivière-des-Prairies. "La Maison et jardins Chénier-Sauvé, nature-friendly and pesticide-free," now a foundation, is open to the public from May to October or by apointment.
