It was months after voting and up at the "Hall"....
The stage was set for the greatest show of them all
Over 2000 people were clapping their hands
Wanting to see the rock n' roll bands
Big Ray stepped up to a mic that night
He pondered his words because he wanted them right
Ray knew this band all dressed in black
From years ago Graceland's Bad Boys were back
One by one they took the stage
The crowd roared, the "Hall" rocked, it was in a rage
This band was back and re-born to be wild
Their outfits were matched...meticulously styled
They blasted out Berry, The Beatles, even Sam and Dave
The crowd loved originals written by Hatton and Cave
When they were finished, the fans wanted more
The band took their bows, fans were screaming "ENCORE"
They played 3 more and cut them no slack
It was proved that night...The Beast really was back
When it was over, Tourville looked at Brown and exclaimed!
"The Fabulous Morticians are finally members of the Iowa Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame"
