WELCOME!       This group is about five weather stations located in the Canadian High Arctic, and those who served there. Established from 1947 to 1950, they were, then, a joint project of Canada and the United States (JAWS).People with an interest in the early days of these stations have but few sources of information. None of these sources are widely distributed. History buffs on the subject include a unique group -- people who actually worked there. These veterans, their offspring, and current station personnel have formed an internet group in order to collect historical data, exchange stories, post photos, and to generally help one another to remember and to re-live their Arctic experiences as well as experience present day conditions.

When completing the application to join, please be sure to complete the section titled "Reasons for wanting to join". The Group URL is:  (http://groups.msn.com/MouldBayEurekaIsachsenAlert/)

Pleased to see this story has a happy ending. I was sure that the error was with the Journal, and not with Darryl personally. I'm sure many of us have been victims of this kind of error and ...
