Mountain Warrior Dojo

Training Costs

At the present time, the various costs associated with training at the Mountain Warrior Dojo are as follows:-

Annual Fees

All members of the Mountain Warrior Dojo are expected to contribute an annual fee of £12.00, payable in January of each year (or shortly after joining during the year).  This money is used to provide for the maintenance and improvement of the group's core equipment such as mats, striking targets, sparring gear, spare training weapons, our study materials and so forth. The money is spent only after consultation with all members so as to ensure that everyone gets maximum benefit.

Standard Training Fees

The training fees at the Mountain Warrior Dojo are now streamed into two alternative approaches.

Pay As You Go

Students pay a per-session fee as follows:-

White or Green Belts - £5.00

Brown Belts - £4.50

Black Belts - £4.00

Monthly Fee

The student pays a flat rate on the first session attended each month as follows:-

White or Green Belts - £30.00

Brown Belts - £27.00

Black Belts - £24.00

Students may choose which method of payment suits their personal circumstances the best and can switch at the start of any calendar month.  The current system is designed to reward those students who attend an above average number of sessions with what amounts to free sessions whilst providing an option for those students whose other commitments prevent them from attending regularly so that they are not unfairly penalised.

The discounted rate for training given to senior graded students is to acknowledge the time and effort they will be expected to give in providing guidance to their juniors.

Visiting students and instructors from other Bujinkan Dojo groups are most welcome.  However, if they are not directly known to us, they will need to provide evidence of Bujinkan Dojo membership to be admitted to training.  Such visitors will be charged single session fees of £5.00 per two hour session.  Visiting shidoshi (i.e. instructors of 5th Dan and above) will not be charged a training fee as a courtesy between instructors.

Those visiting the Mountain Warrior Dojo in order to view the training are of course our invited guests and as such will not be expected to pay in any way.

Grading Fees

All grading fees are set by the Bujinkan Honbu Dojo (Bujinden) in Noda-shi, Japan.  It is not the policy of the organisation to publish such information online.  Please ask for details in person.
