Contacting Spirits
Here are the four exercises to begin opening yourself to the spiritual energies and contacting loved ones, guides, and other entities that exist beyond this physical realm.
Exercise One (Relaxed Psychic Level)
Sit quietly in a place where you will not be disturbed. Close your eyes and visualize the sun resting on top of your head. Visualize the number 3 inside the sun. Allow the sun to move downward through your body, warming and relaxing you as it goes. Feel the warmth and the relaxation of the sun as it passes through you. When it gets to your toes, allow it to leave.
Visualize another sun with the number 2 inside it. Allow this one to flow through you as the first one did, feeling its warmth and relaxation as it flows through your body as well. Do this one final time with a sun with the number 1 inside it. Feel the total relaxation as the final sun leaves your body.
Say to yourself, "From now on, all I need to do to reach this relaxed psychic level is to close my eyes and mentally count down from 3 to 1." Then open your eyes.
Exercise 2 (Basic Psychic Level)
Relax in a quiet space. Go to your relaxed psychic state. Close your eyes and visualize a staircase with ten stairs going down. Visualize yourself standing at the top of the stairs. Take one step down and say mentally "deeper psychic level." Continue down the steps in this fashion, saying mentally "deeper psychic level" with each step. When you reach the bottom step (your basic psychic level), say mentally something similar to "I am now at a strong psychic level that I can use for successful psychic performance. I can reach this level anytime I wish simply by desiring to be here and counting down from three to one." Open your eyes.
Exercise 3 ("Mystic Marriage")
Relax and go to your basic psychic level. Bring your attention to the area between your eyes. This is your "third eye", the center of intuitive perceptions. It is also the location of your brow chakra. Envision this area as glowing in brilliant crystalline light. As you inhale, see and feel this area warm and brighten with the light. Hold your breath for a count of ten, then exhale slowly and repeat three times.
Now as your inhale, draw the light backward from your brow aread throught the head to a point near the crown of the head. This is the crown chakra. This chakra awakens perception to the spiritual realms. As you visualize this light moving backwards, also envision a rainbow bridge of light being formed between the brow and crown chakra. See and feel it as warm and shimmering with energy. Hold your breath and the focus of the light in the crown chakra for a count of ten, and then exhale slowly. Repeat this three times, each time feeling the warmth and energy filling your head.
Next bring the light, creating a rainbow bridge of light as you go, down through your head to your throat. Here is the throat chakra. This chakra allows for creative will and the ability to hear spirits. As you inhale, feel this chakra become warm with the light. Hold your breath once again for a count of ten, then as you exhale slowly feel the energy and light intensify. As with the other chakras, repeat this three times.
Now bring the energy down from the throat to the heart, creating the rainbow bridge as you do. Feel the area of the heart begin to warm and fill with the light's energy. This activates the heart chakra. Inhale and hold for a count of ten once again. As you hold your breath feel the energy intensify in your heart chakra. Exhale slowly and repeat three times.
To complete the circuit, bring the energy back to your brow chakra, the "third eye" area between your eyes. Allow the rainbow bridge to be created as it moves through your body. Feel the light and energy along the rainbow bridge grown and intensify as the circuit is completed. You have now activate your higher centers of perception.
Exercise 4 (Contacting Entities)
Close your eyes and go to your basic psychic level. Make sure that you have completed the circuit in the "mystic marriage" of the upper body chakras.
If you are contacting a loved one, visualize how you remember them looking in life. If you are contacting someone else, just let the desire to contact the entity fill you. Invite the entity to enter your mental awareness by saying something similar to, "I ask my grandmother Adele Jones to kindly enter my mental awareness and communicate with me." Relax and let the entity make its presence known.
If the entity does not make itself known, repeat the request. If it does not make itself known after six attempts, say, "I wish you had made yourself present to me, but I thank you anyway. Perhaps another time you will do so. I send you my love." If the entity does make itself known to you, say, "Thank you for coming."
Proceed to communicate and converse with the entity just as when the entity was in body. When you are finished, say, "I will say goodbye for now. I love you. Thank you for visiting me. Please make your presence known to me anytime you wish." Then open your eyes.
These exercises may not work instantly. You may have to practice one several times before moving on to the next one. Keep working at it and you will one day be contacting the spirits on a regular basis!
