The introduction:
On arrival back from the future a unopened letter awaits addressed to Blackthorn it explained
his mission it was from the Antiquarians from a Leonard Dimitri, residence the Musei Vaticani in
Rome. An enemy force had stolen the Spear of Destiny and the Antiquarian want Blackthorn to
find the original or make an exact copy of the original. It is known to have been in the collection
of Adolph Hitler during W.W.II and was known to have been used to finish Christ off on the
cross. In legend it gives power and success to its possessor and was passed around through
Dark age and Medieval Europe but possession was normally kept a secret.
Synopsis:
The players must prepare and span down to c.30s Jerusalem and somehow allow the event of
the Final wound of Christ occur otherwise Theological repercussions would be severe, and
would bring forward the Turkish attack on Europe to start WWIII to 1978 therefore causing
frag to Tony and Bradley who were levelers at the time.
Character Use:
This will use Dominics Occult(cults) and History(Medieval Europe) and Religion(Christianity)
and involve Dreaming. Blackthorn access to Vatican records and knowledge of early Rome
from knowledge of Archaeology (Early English - stone age through to roman occupation) for
uniforms and how to act, Use Bradley's knowledge of 1930's Germany to ? infiltrate Nazi
museum, Everyone's (not Tony) ability to speak German (badly, Bradley is best A) and
everyone's Dreaming ability (not Bradley?) with Dominica controlling the Mileu but everyone
else able to control their own form (until a grandmaster arrives who does not want them to
control own form?), Dominics Breaking and Entering, Dominic and Blackthorns ability to speak
Latin, and ? Bradley's fast talk, and ? maths puzzle for Tony or Bradley.

The Spear has a long and distinguished history over 2000 years until its rediscovery in the
Austrian Treasure House in Vienna. Its line of owners has many gaps totaling over half its
history and as a powerful artifact it is normally revered or used in times of need, not a
permanent weapon (Except the 5th Crusades , Aelius battle with Attila and The Hammer in his
victory over the Arabs.).
It needs to appear in the following places and times with attached adventure synopsis:
In 4BC with Herod the Great when he ordered the massacre of the innocents
stored in casket and brought out as symbol of power, held aloft on
balcony overlooking Bethlehem and orders his men to massacre all
baby boys. It is then placed back in the casket. This event happens up to
and just after midnight on October 10th

he held it as a sign of ace when he and the Theban Legion who where
Christians would rather die than follow the imposed roman Pagan gods.
A huge massacre of 6,666 men followed the greatest on ancient times. The
spear leaves his hand when he died. To get close the only way is as an
executor or martyr. This happens a noon ,on April 25th, when the shadow
vanished and continues for 5 hours, Maurites was the last to die having
watched the slaughter.

What actually happened:
The group now with Bradley Lightfoot travel back to 30 AD to witness the cruxificion before
travelling further back to 4AD Bethlehem. Tony Blackwood travelled back to 300BC while
Athens(?) where Phineas worked. He appeared along with holographic imagery as a celestial
messanger and instructed Phineas to contruct the Spear according to designs gained from the
Musei Vaticani. The spear was picked up a while later on the return journey to 4AD. the other
three tarvelled back a year to give herod the spear after having appeared in an dream They
spanned to Herods palace and Bradley Lightfoot took position at the rear of the courtyard to
observe that plans event according to plan. The other three took guise of Judaen guards and
took up posts in herods palace. Eventually as midnight on 10th october approached Dominic
was ordered by an advisor to get the spear, he did and it was given to herod. The order to
carry out the massacre of the innocents was gven and the masses of soilders left the fourcourt of
the palace, Bradle observed the mumbles of dissent.
They retrieved the spear after Herod Antipas used it to order beheading of John the Baptist then
off the the cuxifixion. Bradley took the job of riding towards the hebrew guards bringing the
Spear from Heros he retriebed the spear but fell of his horse seconds later. Below the cross sat
Blackthorne. Bradley found a horse and rode up to Christ sticking in the spear and then riding
on. Blackthorne collected some blood from Christ (1/4pt). The job done they went forward to
265 when the Christians were Matyred in Egypt. Blackthorne appeared before him as he work
as a vision of Jupiter (!) a celestial messenger telling of the arrival of travellers carrying a
powerful spear, the spear that pierced the side ofchirst thus fulfilling the prophesy of Isiah .
Marities too delivery of the spear and was then slaughtered, the group could not stay to witness
the events but arrived at the end of the 5hrs to retrive the spear. The group then ensured that
constantine the great and Theodosius the great both recieved the spear and then on to452 to
appear in dreams before Aelius before the battle with Attila at Troyes, France. his victory was
swayed by the spear. then to 800AD to ensure Charlemagne held it. Fortold in a dream they
arrived and the spear was delivered bt it took some ominous dreams constructed by Dominic to
make Charlemange part with it in 810AD. The next task was easier, FrederickII was quite
willing to accept the prophesy of the spear and returned it after sacking jerusalem, then finally it
was placed in the Treasure house of Vienna for Hitler to find it. the mission over theywent to the
Antiquarians cornor in Cologne to tell of their success and then back home to 1096AD.
Dominic suggested a jaunt to 500AD to try to fing King Arthur.
During the course of the adventure the had had a few parties to celebrate birthdas, each time a
2 day long party ensed. After one Blackthorne wa in possession of a wooden bowl, The Holy
Grail strangely enough.
Also when Tont analysed the blood of Christ his DNA was found to be not wholey human,
then the tricorder refused to work further. Dominic said thay he must be half inheritoer and
realised that although they where travelling through time fulfilling prophecies in the guise of angels
and monks for the inheritors they where in a strange way relly angels of the god who was an
inheritor !!
