1. Hovenweep 2. Devil's Tower (our first site) 3. Yellowstone 4. Grand Canyon 5. Tallgrass Prairie 6. Fort Vancouver 7. Olympic 8. Badlands 9. Brown v. Board of Education 10. Dinosaur (Utah side) Boy, what a fun way to relive trips! These range from the "how can you not love it" (Grand Canyon,Yellowstone and Badlands) to "we don't know why but we did fall in love with it" (Hovenweep and Fort Vancouver). Some were just really great experiences (Tallgrass Prairie - the private tour given by the Ranger when things were closed). I picked Brown v. Board of Education because of the way I felt walking through the VC. I was transported back in time and right into the middle of it all. An Honorable Mention goes to Nicodemus because of what it represents and what they are trying to do. (And I just loved Miss Ernestine's BBQ sauce.)

Granted, i haven't been to many... but these are my most memorable: 1. Blue Ridge Parkway -My first stamp back in '99 2. Carlsbad Caverns, NM - Electrical storm on the surface knocked out the power while inside the cave. :) 3. Saguaro, AZ - Gates Pass is impressive. Definately one to revisit. 4. Delaware Water Gap, NJ - A nice rest stop on route to your next journey... 5. Petroglyph, NM - Must remember to pack more water next time.

1. Glacier NP-Perhaps the best mountain scenery on the planet 2. Grand Canyon-We rode the mules to the bottom and spent the night. However the time spent at the north rim gave us our best experience. 3. Everglades NP 4. Big Bend NP- Just returned from there. A great springtime visit 5. OK City N Mem. Anyone who comes out of there with a dry eye isn't quite human. 6. Tall Grass N Pres.- Just a few miles from home. hello all well heres my TOP 10 parks in descending order---(I enjoy being different)--so here goes.....oh and it may be a bit bias but i do havemy reasons. 10.) Chickamauga and Chattanooga NMP----its more than just the parks you get spectacular scenery on a clear day you can see all 7 states (or so it is told) and the view is unreal atop lookout mountain on the Ga/Tenn border 9.)FT.Smith NHS---the beginning of the old west before the old west----Justice done and served "hanging" style (LOL)---could say its a "pain in the neck"-but seriously a place that offers a unique look into law and justice in the old days 8.) Dinoasaur Nat'l Mon.---ok who as a kid didn't like dinosaurs---its places like this that bring back the kid in you---it also makes one to ponder--if it happened to them could it happen to us>>>> 7.) Martin Luther king Jr NHS----ok atlanta but even after all these years "I have a dream" still lives on---nough said 6.) Black Canyon of the Gunnison---I went here when the convention took place and found it to be one of the most peaceful places ive ever been in---its one everyone should see someday. 5.) Grand Canyon NP----The Granddaddy of all parks, your never the same once youve been there 4.)Independce Hall NHS----philadelphia freedom keeps it going and nothing better than to see where our founding fathers started it all 229 years ago 3.)Ft. Pulaski NM---its savannah ga and you walk back in time literraly to this behomth stone fort----only Ft. Mchenry is more well known in the cause of american freedom. 2.)Rocky Mountain NP----the foundation of one of Americas most spectacular national Parks in all its grandeur its blue sky and snow capped mountains and wildlife as youve never seen before 1.)Gettysburg NMP---to me you simply cant talk about the national parks without mentioning gettysburg----the high water mark of the confederacy and where blood was spilled and so much of it---you cant help but be touched by it when you visit here. It stays with you the rest of your life. Honorable mention(s) Antietam NMP, THE DC memorials(all of them), hovenweep, Saguro, Ft. Mchenry

There's just no way. I've been trying. Too many with strong personal experiences; the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat in the excursions to get there; the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...too many to list, and none really more significant than the other. We're talking almost a 50-year relationship here. Just...no....way.

We are still neophytes, but we haven't hit one that wasn't our favorite. Everytime we visit one we think it's the best, then we go to another, and we think it is! We've visited 31 this summer. It's been a great summer!

Kalaupapa NHP It was breathtaking (Mule Ride down the side of the sea-cliff), historic (leprosy settlement where Fr. Damien worked), beautiful, isolated, and emotional. For me, it was a once in a lifetime experience. And if it weren't for the NPTC I would never have seen it or even known about it. (My buffalo encounter in Yellowstone runs a close second, but I'd have to go with Kalaupapa as my favorite.)

Theodore Roosevelt NP (ND) Do the loop road on bicycle and be amazed at the variety of critters great and small. #4... Arches NP (UT) Can't wait to take my family here, they've never been. #3... Dry Tortugas NP (FL) Bring your mask and flippers! #2... Carlsbad Caverns NP (NM) A dreamworld come true. #1...
