Variation of Block Tatting, I am thinking of using this method as a Rick Rack effect for doing a doily also. This wreath was made with #5 needle and # 10 Forest Green. Try to use directional Tatting. Both sides look nice when done, I couldn't get a good photo of the back, as it's a dark color. But once you start working it you will see you could use either side to decorate. All chains should be facing the same way.
Ch=Chain sp = small picot Rw = reverse work
Ch 3ds sp 3ds Rw, Remember when closing to leave a sp at the end of the chain, put a clip there to hold it.
Ch Make sp, 3ds bend back to join with picot on first ch. Leave sp, 3ds join in sp at end of first chain. Leave sp, 3ds Rw
Ch Make sp, 3ds bend back to join in p. Make sp 3ds join in picot Rw
Ch sp 3ds +, sp, 3ds + sp 3ds Rw
Keep working back and forth with the small chain of 3 - 3 and work back over with longer chain of 3 - 3 - 3 making sure to leave a small picot to join back on.
This one is 24 blocks around, attaching the 24th one to the first with the longer chain.
Berries are made using thread and needle, 4ds cl 4ds cl 4ds. They can be tied on, as I did or glued on. (These can be made with any left over thread you may have saved in red.)
Add a small bow, I added a little trinket in the middle. Small beads would look nice used as berries or just for decoration.
