| If you are interested in joining this group, understanding this information will expedite your approval. First and foremost, this is not a dating website. It is a place where single men and women share the common interest and experience of RV'ing. There are four requirements for membership: 1. Single, i.e., unmarried, divorced, widowed or legally separated. 2. A verifiable membership in www.RV.Net/Forum based on multiple posted messages. 3. A reserved MSN nickname, indicated by a " " in front of the name. 4. A reply to a private message or e-mail that will be sent prior to acceptance. Please understand that we take extreme measures to screen applications. That may seem harsh and unreasonable but we have the safety and well-being of our membership to consider. | This website does not discriminate on race, creed or gender. It is however a requirement to be a single male or female. | - When you click on "Join Now", it will open a page with "Sign in with your NET Passport" and "Get a NET Passport" links. If you do not have an existing passport, you will need to get one which is simply registering a valid e-mail address. Next, you will need to reserveH a name that will then be universal throughout MSN websites. If you use an old passport that does not have a reserved name, your application will be denied. The reason for this is simple, the MSN registered name passport includes a personal profile necessary to the members of a singles group.
In the application "Message to the Manager", please include: ? Marital status ? RV.Net User Name (if different from MSN user name) ? Location, member reference, etc. ? Real Name (first only is acceptable)
If you already have an MSN Passport, it is easy to reserve your name in advance - sign into http://groups.msn.com/ and in the middle at the top it will say "Reserve your MSN Nickname" - just click on it, and once you have a reserved name you can apply. It may or may not accept your first choice of name in which case just let us know your RV.Net/Forum name in the "Message to the Manager" on the application.
This website is made up of single members of www.RV.Net/Forum which is used to verify membership via "Search". If you are a member but have not posted or replied to a topic, that name will come up as "member not found". Posting more than one message is required. Some information in your RV.Net profile and posted messages will be used for your welcome notice on our messageboard as well as your location on our members map. If it is determined that the name you applied with is an rv.net/forum member, you will be sent a private message. There have been some impersonation attempts using existing member names and replying to that message will verify that it is the same person that applied to join us.
An e-mail will be sent to the applicant at the address provided on the application as either a welcome to the website, denial if an undesireable or not a reserved MSN passport name or an explanation of the problem such as member not found in the RV.Net/Forum. The application will then be held for 24-hours awaiting a reply. Note: if you do not check the e-mail of the account you use when you apply, you will not receive that information and it will be denied after the 24-hour period. Because e-mail filters vary, that mesage may arrive as "bulk mail" which should also be checked. If e-mail is returned as undelivered, the application will be immediately denied. It is not easy to join this website as evidenced by the large number of applications that were denied by either not replying to the e-mail within 24-hours, applying without a reserved MSN name or applying with an undesireable name. Memberships are also cancelled if no activity within one year. | A recent change to our rules allow those members that marry outside of the group after joining may cancel their membership and rejoin under a new passport that indicates both names.... | Questions? e-mail: Manager, Open Roads Singles
