IMPORTANT COMMUNICATIONS:
Crime is down is San Diego? That’s what they’re telling us. What they’re not telling us is that crime is definitely up in Pacific Beach. Auto Burglary is up, Robbery is up, Assault is up, Narcotics are up, and Commercial Burglary is up. And, in addition to that, it seems we may have an arsonist loose in our area and we even had a murder in our little beach community this last month.
What we need to ask is why the majority of our local media and even many involved in community leadership seem inclined not to want to publicize this vitally important information? Don’t they realize that the way to solutions is to first, for us all to become educated with regard to the problem (so as to become motivated), and then more will be willing to join the efforts to reduce this most serious difficulty?
And, with that in mind, we would like to remind you all that the Pacific Beach Citizens Patrol is still in the process of forming up and is very definitely in need of volunteers and additional support so that this might become part of the solution. For more information call Jonathan West at "American Communication Arts" (858/488-8222).
This is very serious. Our community needs you. We need you. Are you there?

IMPORTANT COMMUNICATIONS:
Vandalism, auto burglaries and sexual assaults are up from last month, which in itself was a high month for crime in Pacific Beach. In addition, residential burglary, auto thefts, and narcotics incidents were all still very high in number. And that doesn’t even consider the continuing rash of arson fires in our beach community, which got so bad that they were reported nationally on CNN Headline News!
With all of this, are there still a few of you who don’t think we have a very serious problem here? Are most of you not really going to become involved in efforts toward a solution to this major calamity? We sincerely hope that reasonable numbers of responsible citizens are planning to roll up their sleeves and get seriously involved.
If that should actually be the case, then perhaps you might like to consider calling Jonathan West (through "American Communication Arts") at 858/488-8222 to become a part of the reforming Pacific Beach Citizens Patrol, in one manner or another. It’s up to you. If Pacific Beach is going to recover from all of this, it truly is up to you.

IMPORTANT COMMUNICATIONS:
It’s been another very bad month. Auto burglary is way up. Robbery, residential burglary, assault and commercial burglary are also up. And (although the media hasn’t picked up on this), sexual assaults have risen up to six in number this last month! Remember, this is all within a small, one-mile radius from the center of Pacific Beach!
It’s long past the time when we here in our little beach community needs to take personal responsibility and get involved in efforts toward genuine solutions. The media needs to tell it like it is and all the rest of us need to do our best to solve this very dangerous situation.
There’s no nice way to put it. Those of you who read these reports and never do a thing — you really do need to change the way you are reacting to all of this. It’s very bad now and it will only get worse. Call the folks who are desperately trying to reestablish the Pacific Beach Citizens Patrol and become a part of the effort to turn things around. Call 858/488-8222 as soon as possible!
