This group is meant to share information about the popular culture of Pakistan from 1950 - 1999. Pop culture is basically anything that becomes a part of life for everyone in a country; particularly for those aged 13 to 29.

Please do not confuse pop culture with pop music. Pop culture has to do with whatever is popular (or notorious), wanted, enjoyed, talked about, used, cherished, watched, anticipated in a certain period (we use every year as a period for this site). This includes TV, Films, Music, Sports, Hairstyles, Fashion, Careers, Events, Video Games, Ad Campaigns, Transport, Food, Values, Beliefs, Magazines, Celebrities, New Technologies, Pets, Hangouts, Hobbies, Buildings etc.

Basically, as a contributor to this group, you just need to think back on your life, and see what really became popular in Pakistan. Then write about it in this forum, putting the year (e.g. '[1989]' or '[1985]') in the subject line. You can write personal memoirs, examples of popularity, give a comment or additional information about it. Kindly note that none of the topics in this forum are ever going to be closed, so feel free to give your comments on any topic regardless  of when the last post was made against it.
