Nr of Families
In the parochial Chapelry of Patterdale
in the County of westmerland and Diocease of Carlisle
are Seventy Six Families, all of the Commun=
=nion of the Church of England; Save
one Family, of the Prebyterian Confession who
crept into this Sound Quarter unawares about 3, or
4 years agoe; before this happenned neither Papist,
Presbyterian, Quaker, or othe Non=Conformist what=
soever, ever sett Foot here

Although undated the above note must have been handed in at the same time as the 1749/50 Bishops transcript which is the only time that the two churchwardens served together.
