| How to... Post a message: Click on the board you want t put the message on, and click on new discussion if you want to have something new. Click on Reply if you are replying to someone elses message., then click send message. If you are putting a photo into it, make sure your photo is of the right size, (less than 75kb, 480X640 or thereabout) and then click on the yellow square icon (with the picture of mountains on it) in the tool bar across the middle, and find the place your photo is. group, album, or computer. If it is in an album, it is already presized. then click on teh photo, and then add message. Leave a link to our album in the message. I will show how to do that futher on down. How to... Put a photo in an album
Go to pictures, (tool bar to the left) and you will find the photo albums. across the top is: Create an album. Click on that and it will open a new album for you. Be sure the first photo is one you want to have as your album cover. Add your photos by clicking on add photos, and it will bring up a control for you to add from your computer. When you have finished, be sure and go to the settings in the list of photo albums and click: only the album creator and managers may add or delete from this album. That protects your album. How to ... Leave a link to your album. To leave a simple link, go to the address bar across the top of the page and right click on it and click copy, go to your message and click paste. That leaves an activated link. | Message boards: -

In order to put in a photo link in a message, first start your message. Then go to the thumbnail you wish to use, and right click on it. click copy, and and then go back to where you want to put the clicker. If it is on the edge of teh message make sure that it is indented two or three spaces. click on the spot to put it and then go to the paste symbol on the message tool bar. After the thumbnail is in, highlight it.(dragging the cursor across it) It needs to be highlited at least one space starting on the left, to at least one space on teh right, turning the whole thumbnail dark. then go to the little blue ball with eyeglasses and click on that. then click on "select a group page", and find your album. then click insert. If the clicker is active your cursor will go back to the beginning of teh message. If not it will remain where last used. If it is not active start again with the hightlight, and repeat the remaing steps. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't tak the first time. Mine didn't. Chat room help for new members
When entering chat room, find the chat room on the left tool bar. Right click on it, and when the box opens, click open in new window. This keeps you from being kicked out if you click on a URL while in teh room. Clicking on things within the room will knock you off of it. Once you are in the room, go to the bottom of your screen where it says, chatroom options. In chat room options, click on, "show whispers in a separate window", and, take the check mark out of "don't display URLs" we work a lot with those. Check or uncheck any other things you want or don't want. A note on the sunday lesson, Please do not have red fonts, as that is what the instructor will be using. We do not critique in the chat room unless asked for. In order to leave the chat room, use the "x "in the upper right corner, unless you have forgotten to open in a new window, alternativly clicking on anything in the left menu bar will get you out. E-mail Settings Do you want to get the "Daily digest" from PhotoGraphics that allows you an easy way to keep current on the latest posts, tips and tricks and community news? DO you want to get real time updates sent to your E-mail as people post? Would you rather just keep up with the action by visiting the group in person? Here's how it's done... - Sign on and go to the Member's Tools found at the botom of the menu on the left of your screne.
- Click on Check your E-mail settings
- Under the heading of Messages you will find 3 radio buttons (dots to click) .
Inbox: Send all messages immediately to my e-mail inbox.
Daily Digest: Send compiled messages to my e-mail inbox at the end of the day.
On the Web: I'll read the messages online. - Save changes before leaving
