Game, Player, or Idea: 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons
Description Or Subject In Detail:
I'm looking to join/start a 3.5 D&D campaign.  I could DM, as I do have some experience in that area, but I would prefer to play.  Unfortunately, I do not have a place to play, as ity would be difficult to cram very many people into a dorm.  If anyone is interested in starting a campaign, or knows of an existing game, please let me know.  I am looking to join Ed's Star Wars game which looks like it will be on Saturdays, so Friday evenings or Sundays look pretty good to me.

Game, Player, or Idea: Looking for people in Beaver County
Description Or Subject In Detail:
I'm 31 and looking for a RPG group in or near Beaver County. I live in New Brighton and want something within 30-40 minutes.  I'm an experienced and mature player. I run a werewolf campaign and know the other storyteller systems. I have run various GURPS in the past, and I play D&D 3.5.  Looking for people to come play with our dwindling group. We have werewolf and D&D campaigns running now.  I'm also looking for a group I can join.  Reason: the people I used to play with are becoming harder to organize on a weekly basis and I'm not gaming with the frequency that I want too.  I can play monday-thursday nights starting whenever to whenever.  I work nights on the weekend so could only game during the afternoon friday-sunday.  Thank you.

Game, Player, or Idea: GASP - Gaming Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania
Description Or Subject In Detail:
GASP meets on the second Saturday of every month from noon until midnight at the First Baptist Church of Coraopolis (near the old airport).  We welcome any and all types of games, and lately we've had a pretty decent increase in RPG's thanks to the help from a lot of our Pittsburgh RPGA members.  Our average attendance has been around 40 people each month, and best of all, it's absolutely free!  Our only purpose is to give people a place to meet other gamers in the area.

If you're interested, check out the link to our web site, and consider joining us for our yearly convention, GASP-Con 7 on November 4th and 5th, 2006.

Game, Player, or Idea: Living Greyhawk.
Description Or Subject In Detail:
Living Greyhawk campaign, obviously taking place in Keoland, of the Sheldomar Valley.  We meet every Thursday at the Beehive Coffeehouse, on 14th and Carson Streets, in the South Side, but the schedule is subject to change.  The setting is public and smokey, but enjoyable and relaxing.

We are a great group of fun-loving people (if I do say so myself), and are always looking for new members.  Please visit the official website for this group at www.pittsburghrpga.org.  From there you can sign up and participate on the messageboard and events.

You can sign up as an RPGA member on the spot, but be prepared to run some modules in the future.  Andrew, Sam and Eric are the officiating members, so contact at least one of them before you show up.  Please download and familiar with the core rules of Living Greyhawk.  They are attainable at www.rpga.com.

Game, Player, or Idea: D&D plus other games, LAN games
Description Or Subject In Detail:
I'm DMDoug, and I have a place a little ways out of town... in Clymer (up in Indiana County.)

I have a large basement gaming area with a changeable table. We like to play AD&D, Warhammer, MechWarrior, and other miniatures games on the table.

I also have a LAN with four terminals, and a switch that can add more computers. We play Neverwinter Nights ona regular basis, along with Unreal Tournament (GOTY), Counterstrike, Starcraft, Age of Empires, and anything I can get my hands on.

I've got the place, and my whole family plays games- four of us. In addition, there are a number of people who can join us from time to time.

My problem is coordinating games so that everyone can play. I'd like to add more people to the mix, and all are welcome.

Weekends are best, but some weeknights are also open.

So, if you want to start a game- DM or just play- contact me. We are willing to learn new games (but no LARP- some of us can't get around well, and vampire games are not high on the games list.)(Besides, we used to play paintball, and that took it all out of me, at least!)

My son turned 21 yesterday, and we are celebrating on the 11th with a Patriot Day LANparty; we're going to play a little "hunt Osama" in different games. We will have at lest two games a month on Saturday nights, more than likely Neverwinter Nights but we can play others.

Clymer is off Route 119 North in Indiana County. Take the Route 286 exit at Indiana, and go another 8 miles. Email me if you want to join us for any games, including this weekend, and I'll send you the rest of the directions.

Game, Player, or Idea: Star Trek (Decipher or d20- see below)
Description Or Subject In Detail: STAR TREK HARBINGERS: THE NEXT FRONTIER

UPDATE: 07/23/06

Still trying to get players for this.
I have the Players' Guide and am in the process of getting the Narrator's Guide, Starships Guide, Alien Races Guide, Creatures Guide and Narator's Screen (all by Decipher).

No news that I know of for any more current Star Trek rpg corebooks (there were rumours of a new one beyond Decipher coming out). Maybe when the new Trek movie comes out there will be more info. I also have an interest in the "All Our Yesterdays" Sourcebook that was published by Last Unicorn a few years ago and am also trying to get "Planetary Adventures" published by the same. Some of the LUG stuff I may be using, just not the rules. We are going with the Decipher rules for now and possibly some d20 rules here and there on certain areas like saving throws and delicate areas. Lots of stuff still being decided.

Please email me if you would like to be a player. The game will host in Highland Park, East End.

mailto:EddeeBee@netzero.com

Game sessions to begin somewhere between August 15th, 2006 and Sept 5th, 2006.

The time will be set at some point after ST: Nemesis (the last Next Gen movie).

Most of the details are still being fleshed out. I would like to create a new "invading" species that poses a new threat to the Federation. I have an idea that I am toying with that will refer to the new villain(s) being from a region of space not before explored called "Harbinger Space".

As far as the game system goes, for now, I am looking at Decipher's new rpg that came out around late 2002-2003. IF I don't like those rules, I may just incorporate Wizards' d20 rules into the Star Trek game (like with Star Wars or Space d20). I may even advent some of my own rules for certain areas of the game.

Supposedly, there is a new Star Trek Rpg coming out in 2005. The core rulebook will be over 400 pages. Amazon.com has a listing for it, but the publishing company is not familiar to me. I don't think it's Decipher. We may even use those rules in time if I like them better.

I hope to get things going at some point in the first quarter of 2005 (January / February most likely).
Additional Notes: can meet some friday eves and saturdays during the day (12p-4p) most preferably.

Game, Player, or Idea: Star Wars d20
Description Or Subject In Detail:
Star Wars: UNDERWORLDS

A new campaign that takes place in the "underworld" of the Star Wars Universe. Time period is after Episode 6: Return of the Jedi and before the novel "Heir to the Empire" by Timothy Zahn.

**************************************************************************** ******************************************************************************
**Update** (07/23/06)**
The Star Wars campaign has been placed on an indefinate hold or hiatus for now so I can focus on Star Trek and other games. With the saga over for now anyway, I'm not much into the Star Wars mythos. Maybe when the promised tv series comes out or when Lucas re-releases Eps 4, 5 & 6 again.

**Update** (09/11/04) The Wizards Sourcebook was apparently entitled "Ultimate Adversaries". I saw something on the web awhile back that referred to the Star Wars Underworld as a campaign. This is either a future supplement or the new Ultimate Adversaries sourcebook that just came out (08/04).
Update: (11/27/04):
I haven't seen any new Underworlds sourcebooks by Wizards so it must've been a scrapped idea by Wizards or it will come out next year.

We have an existing league.  Looking for a new member to take over a team for a departing member, or draft a new one.  This is our 7thyear and its a keeper league - means ya get to keep the guys from year to year.  Also, this is not a gambling game, like fantasy football.  We could even add additional teams in following year.
