"With Grace, By Grace"
No night so dark that He cannot see
My sorrow and abject misery.
No day so dreary, or dark and dim,
That He cannot hear me calling Him.
I know He's near me even though
The hill is high and my feet are slow.
No matter what hour or time of day,
He always wipes the tears away.
I know for a fact He understands,
Whenever it happens my well laid plans
Go up in smoke and I am left
Just feeling sorry for myself.
He knows when I try my best
And He is never critical of me.
He's well aware that the journey's long,
And that is the reason He comes along.
Ready to catch me should I fall,
Always consoling me through it all,
"Kissing the hurt to make it well,"
Upon my knee and heart as well.
He's God and friend rolled into one,
From dawn of day 'til the setting sun,
My refuge through what's yet to be,
....And always, always loving me!
