Welcome to the Pokemon RPG!

Bigger and better than ever!
This time around, Hoenn Region pokemon ARE allowed!
When you APPLY TO JOIN you MUST put a reason why you should be accepted.
BEFORE YOU ROLE PLAY, you must fill out the SignUp Form.
Simple Rules:
1. This is a general RPG. Meaning that little kids can join here. Please watch your language and conduct.
2. Members are allowed up to seven different characters. This is so you can experiment with playing different types of characters. You can be a pokemon trainer, a pokemon coordinator (Hoenn Region), a member of Team Rocket, a member of Team Magma or Aqua (Hoenn Region), Pokemon Ranger (this is a law enforcement person more along the lines of Lance in the Red Gyarados episodes not an Officer Jenny. Pokemon Rangers (coming soon) can be found in any Region.) Members can also play as a pokemon (must start as a basic pokemon). Human characters can also change 'jobs', so to speak. As a pokemon trainer, human characters can make choices of whether to later join Team Rocket, Magma, Aqua or become a Pokemon Ranger.
3. There is a Sign Up Form page. Here you can register your name and background. If you're a trainer, you can use your trainer profile to keep track of which pokemon you've caught.
4. Human characters: Trainers must start in one of the three pokemon regions. It is your choice of which region you want. Trainers who wish to battle one another have a choice of either single or double battles. If you're traveling with other trainers then one of them can also participate in a double battle. Trainers can also allow their pokemon to travel outside of their pokeballs for either temporarily (kinda like psyduck or wobbuffet) or permanently (like Pikachu and Togepi). Trainers can also join gyms as gym trainers. Trainers can even keep their affiliation even on the road!
5. Pokemon characters: Pokemon characters can travel around on their own or in groups. If you want to play a pokemon character then you should state in your bio whether you wish to remain wild or not. If you're a wild pokemon then you can be captured, you can also choose a trainer or you can remain wild. Human characters are NOT allowed to try and capture member pokemon characters without their consent! Pokemon characters must start out as unevolved pokemon. You can also choose whether or not to evolve (particularly if you're a pokemon that requires a stone or item in order to evolve). You cannot be a legendary pokemon.
6. This brings us to our next topic: Evolution. We are not incorporating levels into this RPG. However, please keep it somewhat realistic. Pokemon must gain experience in battles before they can evolve. In other words, you can't get your charmander, let it out of its ball and then type that evolves into a charmeleon. Also, consecutive evolutions are NOT allowed. Pokemon that have more than one evolution (like the starters) cannot evolve twice in once go to reach their top forms. You also cannot skip a stage. You cannot have a charmander evolve straight into a charizard. If you are caught doing this then you will be warned and the errant post will be deleted!
7. Things are different here! This RPG is going to make some changes to classic pokemon rules. First is party size. Trainers may carry up to twelve pokemon in their party. However, you can only use up to six in a battle. Gym battle rules are at the discretion of the Gym Leader (Gyms later). Another change is moves. Nintendo has only allowed 4 moves for a pokemon in its games (probably because of storage issues). This is NOT the case here. Pokemon here do NOT have to forget moves in order to make room for new ones. You just add them. Us your Pokemon Guides to figure out what TMs your pokemon can learn. HMs here are different, too. HMs like Surf, Fly and Strength do not exist here. If you have a pokemon capable of carrying you across water, in the air, or moving a rock then use that. Be realistic, though. Unlike the Game Boy games, you cannot Fly on a tiny little pidgey. The pokemon you use for these tasks must be capable of them. Also, since Gyarados and Mantine are also listed as flying types then they can fly on this RPG! The last major change to be made is trade evolutions (gengar, golem, steelix, etc.). Pokemon like haunter, kadabra, machoke and graveler can now evolve either through friendship or trade. Pokemon that require an item to evolve (steelix, sloking, etc)... can evolve if their trainer has the needed item. Trading them is not necessary!
8. Battles: Battles are pretty straightforward. Two trainers agree to the terms. However, items are NOT allowed during a battle unless the Pokemon is holding the item! About Gym Battles: Each gym has its own webpage with a list of pokemon the gym leader has. This does not mean all their pokemon will be used in the gym match! Every gym leader decides on the battle conditions, whether one-on-one, 3-on-3 or 6-on-6. Gym Leaders are forbidden from using items during matches! I must insist on this rule! Pokemon can only use items they are holding in battle!
9. Legendary Pokemon: You may not role play a Legendary Pokemon. They will become available on RARE occassions! Trainer characters must have completed at least ONE REGION before they can have a Legendary Pokemon.
10. Capturing Pokemon: A player must battle a wild pokemon in order to capture it. If it's an NPC pokemon, the player can act out the whole battle. However, a manager must decide if you capture it. Player Pokemon battles are up to that member whether they're captured. If a Pokemon faints, it can be captured. Putting a Pokemon to sleep or paralyzing it before it faints will allow it to be captured.
11. NEW RULE! New trainer characters must start with ONLY ONE pokemon! You have a choice of going to a Professor and choosing a starting pokemon or selecting a random pokemon. All trainers must start with a BASIC pokemon and NO legendary pokemon! All trainers STILL have to register at a Professor. It is at the Professor's discretion whether you get an additional Pokemon if you're choosing to already have one with you. I hope that makes sense to you.
IF YOU ARE NEW AND THINKING ABOUT JOINING THIS GROUP, YOU MUST PUT THIS PHRASE IN THE REASON BOX JUST SO I KNOW YOU'VE READ THESE RULES: ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.
Rules for Assistant Managers (AMs)
AMs may not make changes to existing rules and policies.
AMs may not accept new members in the Pending list.
AMs can play any prof but they cannot change what starters they can give out.
AMs can play any Gym Leader but they cannot change what Pokemon the leader can use. I gave each Gym a page that includes what pokemon the Leader is known to use. AMs can decide the battle conditions, however.
AMs can judge PvP battles if asked to.
AMs can accept bios - You must accept based on accuracy, creativity and if the player follows the rules. No human character may start out with an evolved pokemon. So if you see someone trying to start out with a Charizard or something other evolved pokemon, you must deny the bio. Bios must be fairly well written with moderate sized fonts and correct spellings and grammar.
