Self Black
The self (meaning all one color with no lacing) black come in non-bearded and bearded varieties Neither variety is recognized by the American Poultry Association. The sheen on the feathers of the black is brilliant. This is a beautiful variety. Some of them, when they are an adult, moult out with a white crest. Both the bearded and non-bearded variety have white earlobes. They are not to be confused with Crevecour which have red earlobes and are a different breed.other than Polish..
