March For Life
January 22, 2003 marks the 30th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court Decision
making the murder of the unborn legal in the United States.
Every year since then, thousands have gathered in Washington D.C. for the
March For Life,
a campaign begun by Nellie Gray in 1974.
Many organizations, advocacies and websites have been formed in the years since
this dreadful plague has befallen our nation,
and indeed the world.
But that such a heinous act is permitted and protected by law in a land
whose very foundation rests upon the right to life and liberty,
makes it’s perpetrators guilty of an abomination before the Lord.
Every Christian is called by God
to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Whether by word or action, all share in this responsibility ,
most especially by the example they set before others.
Let us now,
we the members of PrayTheRosary Web Apostolate
create and join in our own
March For Life
Let us, in so far as we are able, make one or more of the following pledges:
<DIR> 1. To pray the Rosary, in addition to other commitments to prayer,
for the specific intention of converting the hearts and conscience of those judges
and law makers who hold in the power of their office, the ability to reverse the Roe v. Wade
decision which permits abortion at all stages of pregnancy.
2. To pray for those mothers and their families who have aborted their babies, knowingly
or through a decision based upon mis-information and deliberate lies, that they may seek and
find forgiveness in the Lord, so that their lives may be healed. And that they, having experienced
personally the sorrow, loss and regret to end their babies’ lives, may become the most
outspoken voices we will hear calling for an end to abortion.
3. To personally commit to financially support those organizations who accept no compromise,
who work to end abortion, seeing it not as a woman’s personal choice, but as the murder of an
unborn child.
</DIR> <DIR> 4. To commit, in a more personal way, to the support of new and expectant mothers,
by contributing actual baby care items through local churches, homes and chapters who give
aid to unwed and needy mothers. Pray that these new mothers will be spiritually and temporally
blessed with what they need to care for their new babies , who are heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven.
5. Move to ACTION: Write senators and representatives supporting a ban on partial birth
abortion and stem-cell research that results in the destruction of a human embryo. Let them know
you stand for, and will stand behind them for Life.
6. Commit to living for life. Teach children, from the very youngest, that any pregnancy
is a miracle, that each new life is known by God before it was formed in the womb.
Teach a respect for life in the unborn, the disabled, the aging, and in all living things
which God has created.
7. Become familiar with the teachings of the Church so as to be able to defend the Gospel,
to stand for life. Pray to be instrumental in rescuing even one poor soul from the grips
of the abortionist, and the industry of death.
