 What IS Purity? 
Yeah, what is it anyway?

Well, let's think about that for a little bit. A lot of girls come onto this site not really realizing what we mean by the term "purity". What comes to mind with most girls, is sexual purity....and although we support that very much, there are other forms of purity too. Being pure doesn't mean never doing anything wrong - it's mainly a mindset in which we focus on doing good, and keeping our mind clear of impure thoughts.
Take advantage of what you know! Purity is WORTH IT.
Have an impure past? Do NOT let the enemy taunt you with it. If you are a Christian, and have asked for forgiveness, you are clean. Confess, and He has cleansed you - there is no need to dwell on the SINS of the past. Regret is a powerful tool for Satan to use on us. Not just regret itself, but what we are regretting. He keeps it in our minds, and keeps us well aware of what we did wrong...SIN. When sin sits in your head, even if you regret it, it's still sin. If it's in your head, get it out (how simple can we put it?). Just remember that you are cleansed by the blood of Christ. He has payed for your past...do not dwell on regret.

In what we say, what we do, what we wear, and how we act...purity plays a big part in life.
Purity is not something that just happens to you overnight. It takes time, and it is very hard at some points. Sometimes, you might just want to give up, and just forget about even trying to be pure, and that is when Satan really gets ahold of you. He tells you that it's alright, and that you can think what you want to think. It's funny, because when we write or say that Satan is doing something to you, you immediately think it's bad, or horrible, because we mentioned the name Satan. But sometimes, his name is not mentioned when people are doing wrong (like on TV, or on some trashy website), and they are just telling you to be yourself, and not try to be good. Satan is working behind all of that whether we like it or not. There is a continual battle going on in your mind all time.
There are times when you know you're doing wrong, but you just can't help it sometimes. You decide to give up on God for a while, and just do what you want to do. You decide sometimes just not to trust Him, or ask Him for purity. We earn more and more of God's approval when we call on Him in the hard times, than in the easy times. God wants to be our parent. Someone we can talk to, and tell all of our troubles to, and all of our hardships. He wants to be there for is, and He is, but sometimes we just don't realize that we have to make the first step to get to Him. Just put your mind on things above, and always remember that God is in control. You might think that purity is a meaning for keeping your virginity. It is, but there is also another reason for purity. Purity is needed for your speech, thoughts, etc.
Purity is something God made for us. He made it as a test. As women, we have trouble sometimes putting God in front of our relationships, and other worldly things. If we save ourselves, and our souls for God, we are sure to be blessed. Be pure, even when it's hard. Don't give into Satan. He wants to destroy you. He wants to mess you up. He wants to make your life hard and miserable, but God doesn't. Satan gives us terrible thoughts, and feelings to make us run to someone or something other than God...Maybe a boyfriend, or tv, maybe some kind of drug, or a friend that is encouraging you to do bad things. If you put God first, and ask for His guidance, you won't need to run to worldly things. But also remember that we are not asking you to be perfect. We are not asking you to do something that you can't do. It might be impossible to keep those worldly, and terrible thoughts out of your head, so ask God to do it. Put in your effort to stop those thoughts, or motives, but also ask God to change you. To make you pure, and sanctified. He'll do it. Maybe not that very instant, but He'll do it at sometime that you might not expect. Purity is something that you can't buy, or steal. It's not fake--it's real. Don't ever give into impure temptation...even when it's at your front door..... Your PURITY IS PRICELESS!
