This is Mick & Heidi Brassett's web, on our house in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. We started with the buying 880 sq mtr of land,in April 2004. The house started in May 04, with the breaking of land. Our Project manager/engineer was Heidi's cousin Fred Segui. Who is now in LA USA. The construction phase finished end of October 2004 and the we moved into the finishing stage. The house was semi-finished in November 2005 all but the main kitchen. The floor tiles have been put down in February 2007. But we have left the cabinets for another year. We have permenant staff now, Paldo & Laurie (husband and wife team) who look after the house 24/7, and carrying out projects for us. Heidi is working in ST Elizabeth Medical Centre, Utica USA. She is on a H-1B work visa. I joined her on the 19th April. We have a 3 bed apartment, near to her hospital. I hope be back fly back to the Philippines early next year. Heidi has not seen the house since November 2005, and there have been lots of changes since then for her to catch up with. We have called our home "Faulty Towers" because of so many things we have to put right. We paid Engineer Fred a very good salary by Filipino standards, to oversee the building of the house and supervise his manpower and check that everything was in order. It has become evident that a hell of a lot is wrong, and wonder where he did his supervising from. His mom and dad lived just down the road, we think's he spent more time there than supervising, towards the end of the project, and we are paying the price now to put things right. One day it will be finished, hepfully in 10 years. Paldo is working very hard for us. which we appreciate. But overall it is a very sound and nice house. Main construction was good, just let down in the finishing. Fred had and has no flare for the decor of a home finishing, and we would never recommend him to build homes. But we still love our house and home. Mick Brassett & Heidi Paray-Brassett
