QF Theme tune, I still call Australia Home. Music by Peter Allan

In Memory

Please pause for a moment and say - Farewell, to a Colleague, a Friend, or a Work Mate.  Say Farewell, to someone whom you may have crossed paths with only once or may have never met at all. Their life made living for all of us a richer place.

So, we'll go no more a flying

So, we'll go no more a flying
So late into the night,
Though the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul outwears the breast,
And the heart must pause to breathe,
And love itself have rest.

Though the night was made for flying,
And the day returns too soon,
Yet we'll go no more a flying
By the light of the moon.

 By Lord Byron

Before it's to late you had better read this Mantra.

Ron - Wherever you are wheeling and dealing I will always remember the Bahrain trip where we fronted up to the Sheik on the beach, told a few lies and then got a Gold Omega watch for our troubles. Keep them happy up yonder and save us a place for when we meet again.

Sad indeed, I was talking to Chow only last week as I live in the same area and used to bump into him frequently. I also flew with him many times and remember him as one of the nicest I met during my 20 years in aluminium tubing. We'll miss you Chow.

Having just become a new member, it saddened me to scroll through the 'Vale' page to read of so many of my old mates who have passed away. To all family and friends, I pass on my condolences, but one special mention to a very close working pal-Chow. We flew many times, and Reg was always a gentleman to work with,-great with pax and crew alike.
I'll never forget the time x Lhr on a 707 and Reg allowed me to use my little tape recorder to play "Up, Up & Away" on take off, through the P.A.handset, resting on the player's speaker. He always remembered that occassion, and we had many laughs about it in later years. (Those were the G. O. D's )
Rest in Peace dear friend (UP,UP, and Away)       I'll never forget you.

Eleanne you were allways a good sport to fly with and your courtesy and warmth in the cabin was appreciated by all the Qantas passengers.   Thank you for all your support.   I know you will save us all First class seats when we meet once again and have all our documentation  waiting for us  when we pass through the "Pearly Gates".
