MANSION OF BOBO

The Bobo Shanty Order of Rastafarians is more than just another "House" in the Rastafarian movement. Bobo Shanty has been credited with restoring decorum in everyday Jamaican life for many inner-city youths. Most serious about the need for repatriation to Africa and her traditions, the Order has produced a Compact Disc, "Natural Culture-What A Happy Time" to help fund programs to assist in the movement toward Ethiopia and Biblical livity in Jamaica. The CD fulfils the promise to "provide the teachings of the Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress (Bobo Shanty Order) Camp in the form of Chants and Songs by Artists that are Priests, Prophets, Apostles and Royal Empresses and Princesses Living the straight and narrow path in the Jamaica base Camp and around the world."

When Rastafari Today Dot Com spoke with the CD's producer High Priest and Elder, Prince Bob in Jamaica, it was evident that the upright works of King Emmanuel in the development of the Church through the Hymn book and Bible Tradition has gone beyond their sojourn in the hills and coasts of St. Andrew, Jamaica West Indies. "What A Happy Time" testifies that the Bobo Shanty Order's charge to shine the joyful light of Rastafari livity has only just began. People get ready!

HOUSE OF BOBO: WHAT A HAPPY TIME!

rastafaritoday.com: Greetings, how are you this morning?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: Well, well! We have role call in the palace going on right now.

rastafaritoday.com: What is the House of Bobo?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: The House of Bobo is the house of God. 'Cause we live in the livity of life in flesh for the loving way, the universal and international way, every time.

rastafaritoday.com: Where is the Bobo camp right now that put together this particular CD?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: We are in Ten Miles, Bull Bay in St. Andrew Jamaica

rastafaritoday.com: Which audience are you hoping to reach with this CD?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: The Nyabinghi audience... I love I culture. Love god, love I nation and love everyone, so I just try to put the message of life in flesh to develop man because that is what we as the nation want, life in flesh, understanding... so, I put forth this understanding that we all could get the relevance, the understanding of the creator, how to deal with 'self', how to praise HIM and how to live up in the universe.

rastafaritoday.com: We noticed you have information about the Sabbatical Order on the CD, tell us about that?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: The law of the Sabbath from the Father is such that some works that we accomplish the rest of days, we don't accomplish those works on Saturday. Such as, to make up fire, spend money, play radio, go to the streets... we go to service from Friday evening at 6. We stay in the quarters and pray. Then Saturday morning we rise; get wi self in our apparel and go to the tabernacle, both singers, musicians... congregation and we then start. Then after six o' clock in the evening, we go out, play radio, and go out in that manner.

rastafaritoday.com: So would the Bobo Shanty would like for everyone to observe the Sabbath?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: Well, that is the day that the Father really set for all to come together and energize we self, in the life energy and preserving. On Saturday, you come to the Father who gives the life, and he put the substance to strengthen you again for the next six days. So that is the way for everyone, whoever want to live forever.

rastafaritoday.com: Wonderful! We see that you promote the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Why is it that the Bobo carry out that works?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: Well, the Father which is the King of King, its H.I.M. who form the OAU (Organization of African Unity), H.I.M. is the first United Nations in himself, because out of him come all nation. So, down here in Jamaica he sent an ambassador, which represents his embassy, who is the Honorable King Emmanuelle. So, within human rights, we are agitating now for our birthright as Article One tells us; everyone has the right to his own nationality. As the Father says, every nation under their own vine and fig tree and Honorable King Emmanuelle now is the representative of the United Nation to deliver every nation under his own vine and fig tree to His Majesty, the King.

When His Majesty came down here in 1966, twenty-first of April. H.I.M. met Honorable King Emmanuelle here. He left documents for the leaders and rulers that they must allow all the people to return home to Ethiopia.

rastafaritoday.com: What do you hope that ones would get from the Ethiopian Royal International Creed?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: Well the Creed now is the life in flesh. The future within the understanding of us the people.

The first one is 'glory be unto the Father…' which, he is the Father of glory and we are the sons and daughters of this glory. It says, 'glory unto the Father and the unto the son and the daughter also.' That is the first part of the Creed, to the Father we give glory, and unto ourselves.

Now the second part through we are down in Jamaica we says now, 'Ethiopia stretch forth our hands and hearts to God' that means we are stretching forth our hand and heart from down in Jamaica, up to Ethiopia, the lion crowned, unto our Father.

And the third one now, 'we lift our eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh our health' well, the Father he gives our health, and him is the first. Well we pray unto him to send us health, from Mount Zion unto us down here.

The forth one now, 'our Father who hart in Zion', which is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, well as he said, 'the aged protected and the infants cared for.' That part of the creed now, is for everyone will check when a one gets agable, we check that he get his real care in every way of flesh here, and when a one sick, him get attention in all energy until he get him normality again. And the infant now, is for him to derive perspective from life in flesh way that he grow from youth with the right development of Godly concept, to livitate of God from youth upward. So that is the understanding Princess, of the Ethiopian creed.

It has more, but to get into more, it will take a lot of time.

rastafaritoday.com: Why was the CD entitled "What A Happy Time."
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: Well through the time of God is the happy time upon the earth, and the Father return unto us now, so, we feel so happy and joyful in our self to have the Eternal Father with us. So that is why we put those words together. Because he come to take us home now so that we could sit at home in the right praise and livity in our right cultural ethos from that time. So that's why we put such word together.

King Emmanuel Charles Edward The Mighty Comforter Lord of the Sabbath, defender of Poor and Have-nots, Governor General of Repatriation Net Work, President & God of The Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress Church of Divine Salvation or E.A.B.I.C.

rastafaritoday.com: King Emanuel is pictured here, who is King Emanuel for all those who don't know and are coming into the overstanding?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: Honorable King Emanuel now is the priest. Melchizedek in Hebrew 7, well he is such man. He come and open the seven seals which is the bible unto us. The "way" teaching again. That was the original teaching in Ethiopia, salvation that was we the black nation, creation livity. Him come now and open the seal unto us again give we the bible way and teaching… sons and daughters unto the Father again, in all praises understanding, in all life in flesh, in all dignity, integrity, humility and unity and love -just to name a few.

rastafaritoday.com: How was working with Half Pint on Man of Sorrow?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: He is our brethren. Out on the street he appreciate I as a Bobo, the integrity I show them, the uprightness of livity. So I met him at the studio and asked him to put something on the Nyabinghi rhythm for me, and he said 'with all pleasure, my lord.' So since they had broken down our camp at 54B Spanish Town Road: Man of Sorrow. Since it was sorrow when they break down the camp because we didn't have anywhere to reside, and because it was a sorrow to comply with what take place at that foundation.

As we all know, as the bible show us, modern day roman soldiers always come around. Since they couldn't hurt the flesh, they use the brutality on the buildings.

rastafaritoday.com: Why should the masses listen to this CD?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: The reason to have one understanding of the Godly concept in flesh, to live Godly and find your real self. live on and on, and give HIM the glory every time. To get every nation to the understanding of the one Father for us all and have understanding of his inheritance. For love every time, love is the concept of my heart and every nation; to be joyful and nice.

rastafaritoday.com: What will be done with the proceeds from the CD?
Prince Bob, House of Bobo: We want ships to leave out (of) here! When we go home, we going to want money to spend fi develop things for progress. All these things must come thru righteousness; to get money from the right livity. Livity comes first.
