Club History
The fencing club at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh was opened on the 12th of October 1983 by Norrie Millar B.A.F. The first club competition, usually held at Christmas time was held in December of the following year (see picture below).

Since then the club has gone from strength to strength, giving a great many youngsters an introduction to the sport. Many of whom have gone on to the highest level.
The club badge was designed by Sarah Shakeshaft. The theme is Sir Walter Scott's, "Lady of the Lake" with king Arthur's sword Excalibur held aloft in a red gauntlet over blue water.
