Through a lot of web sites and forums there is a lot of confusion between multiplayer on FF:CC. So me Robo Sel/Selix is going to clear that up.
Q. How many players can you play at once in multiplayer?
A. In multiplayer any from 2,3 or 4.
Q. Can you use the Nintendo GameCube controller in multiplayer?
A. NO. Only in single player. In multiplayer you have to use GBA’s. If you all used GameCube controllers when it comes to pausing it and choosing your weapons and items it would interrupt the gameplay for the other players. So there for that’s where the GBA’s come into it. When choosing your items and weapons you do it on the GBA screen. Then when you have finished you go back to the TV screen and carry on playing. THAT’S WHY YOU NEED GBA’s OK!!!
Q. Does the 3rd party GBA-GCN link cables work with FF:CC?
A. From the ones I have tried yes. But I cant guaranty that all 3rd party cables work. For peace of mind I would use the official Nintendo GBA-GCN Cable.
Q. Does the GBA SP work?
A. Yup. Any GBA and any GBA SP mix and match etc. Simple as that.
Q. Does the GameBoy player work?
A. Yes and No. If you want to use the GameBoy player with this game then you have to have a 2nd GameCube and a 2nd TV. Simply put the GB Player in the 2nd GCN and have the running on a 2nd TV. Then link the GBA-GCN Cable from the GB Player to the control port on your 1st GameCube with the FF:CC running.
Q. Does a import GBA or GBA SP work with any other region of this game?
A Yes. ALL GBA’s are multi-region there is no region lock out on the GameBoy Advance or SP.
Q. Does the GameBoy colour or original GameBoy work?
A. NO….NO OK NO!!!
Q. Does the GBA work with Final Fantasy X-2.
A. No. You might not believe this but people want to know this. The answer is no.
If you have any more question please ask in the forums and I will update this FAQ.
