Acknowledging that no one is perfect and that everyone can try to improve their own lives. That every chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Can I resolve to do my best?

After considering the Scout Law, can I say that I am

  •  Trustworthy, honest and truthful?
  • Loyal to my God and Country, my employers and friends?
  • Friendly and considerate to others, neither contributing to, nor providing unwarranted criticism of their characters?
  • Prepared to treat everybody equally and willing to work towards this principle in my personal actions and personal example?
  • Willing and able to tackle difficulties and dangers with care and determination to succeed where the object is worthy?
  • Willing to accept responsibility, always give my best effort and make the best use of my time and resources.
  • Morally sound and have a clear conscience and self-respect for all my actions both in public and private.
  • Aware of my own shortfalls, and am eager to come to terms with myself in an effort of self-improvement.
  • Prepared to do my best and to live by the Scout Law, having considered the above.

Now that you have considered your strengths and weaknesses, you are ready to become a Rover Scout
