Rover Explorer Scouts Association

THE ROVER SCOUT LAW & PROMISE

ROVER EXPLORER

Scouts Association

   THE LAWS

Trusty, loyal, helpful;

Brotherly, courteous, kind;

Obedient, smiling, thrifty,

Clean in body and mind

   THE ROVER SCOUT PROMISE

On my honour I promise

to do my best to do my duty to

God and my Country

To help other people at all times

and to obey the scout Law

RESA

My Lord I Want to Thank Thee  by Percy Herbert Pooley  'Grand Scout'  BBS (1886-1971)

1

My Lord I want to thank Thee

For leading me to be

A Scout in this great movement

To make my vows all three

2

I pray that I may ever

Be worthy of the call

Keeping my vows, may never

Forget I owe Thee all

My Lord I want to serve Thee,

Oh give me eyes to see

How I can help the suffering

Those who in need may be

4

Endue me with Thy Spirit

And let me never cease

Trying to serve as Thou did'st

In Love, Goodwill and Peace

 5

My Lord I want to follow

My Pathfinder and Friend,

To carry out my promise

Faithful unto the end

 6

Oh give me grace to follow

Thy Guiding Light O Lord

And, called to higher service

' Well Done ' be my reward
