 The following tests to the satisfaction of the examiner
 

 01)

Be able to send and receive a message via semaphore

02)

Be able to send and receive a message via Morse light - buzzer

03)

Cryptic messages & cipher’s words - numbers

04)

Understand a correct method of using (3) different types of phone

05)

Demonstrate the use of a fax machine

06)

Have a good knowledge of the Internet and the modem system

07)

Have a basic knowledge a PC system

08)

Have a working knowledge of at least (3) computer languages

09)

Understand the use of a scanner and additional software

10)

Understand and demonstarte FTP process

 The following tests to the satisfaction of the examiner
 
01)   A Rover will need to be able to swim at least 200 meters
 02)

Enter the water by straddle jump, wearing light clothing, swim 100 meters to struggling swimmer and return them to the side or bank

 03) Wearing light clothing, swim 100 meters to an unconscious casualty, non breathing; and return them to the beach or bank, whilst performing expired air resuscitation
 04) Standing waist deep in water, be able to throw and un weighted line to land within arms length of a swimmer, not less than ten meters away
 06) Surface dive to a depth of (2.5) meters and swim at least (5) meters under a floating object or obstruction
 07) Surface dive to a depth of (2.5) meters and swim at least (5) meters collect an object off the bottom and bring to the side / bank
 08)  Enter deep water and swim 50 meters to subject and demonstrate defence action  when completed mives move to rear of subject and tow subject to safety 
 09) Enter shallow water and approach unconscious non breathing subject, tow into nearest support in deep water and demonstrate mouth to mouth resuscitation 
 10) Demonstrate in the water to the examiner the water release specifiied for each of the three clutches  
Notes a. This test needs to of a high standard for the Rover to be given a pass
   b. This test should not be performed in a swimming pool
