| 01) | A Rover will need to be able to swim at least 200 meters |
| 02) | Enter the water by straddle jump, wearing light clothing, swim 100 meters to struggling swimmer and return them to the side or bank |
| 03) | Wearing light clothing, swim 100 meters to an unconscious casualty, non breathing; and return them to the beach or bank, whilst performing expired air resuscitation |
| 04) | Standing waist deep in water, be able to throw and un weighted line to land within arms length of a swimmer, not less than ten meters away |
| 06) | Surface dive to a depth of (2.5) meters and swim at least (5) meters under a floating object or obstruction |
| 07) | Surface dive to a depth of (2.5) meters and swim at least (5) meters collect an object off the bottom and bring to the side / bank |
| 08) | Enter deep water and swim 50 meters to subject and demonstrate defence action when completed mives move to rear of subject and tow subject to safety |
