Want to start a New Group / Rover Crew?

If there is no Group / Rover Crew near you then why not gather a group of friends around you and get involved in the game of Scouting.

RESA can support you to do thisIdeally gather a group of 4 to 6 friends, of either gender and decide that you want to become a RESA Rover Crew. You do not need to have a large meeting place  just a group of mates

RESA Rover Crews meet in all kinds of places, some in a friends front room, others in a headquarters building. In many countries of the world we have Lone Rover Members or members who are just a couple of mates who are involved in the Scouting game together

We have an exciting and different program / scheme for adult scouting and depending upon your experience and age, We can suggest and show you as to where you will find it best to start - the game

Rovering is open to all, aged from 18 years

For more information on what the program is, you will need to go to the variouse sections of the web site and search out the complete requirments for each section at each stage

Once you have found out about the different stages we offer, you would now be much more sure that Traditional Scouting is indeed for you

If you think you would like to join us, and set up a Rover Crew, you may request an Application Package and once your paper work is returned, you should be able to request a Charter from IHQ

 What's the cost?

RESA, much like the other Independent Scouting Associations strongly believe that the cost of Scouting should be as low as possible. We believe that Scouting should not just be for the rich, but that it should be for every one - It should not be a commercial enterprise to make money out of  young people

RESA has no Capitation fees, and no annual rechartering fees like some Scouting Associations. You should be aware that it requires no monetary outlay to set up and form a RESA Rover Crew

However, we do request gifts and  will not be shy in asking

IHQ. Needs to have basic funding to be able to run

All our leaders are volunteers.   We have no paid staff, or costly offices

Our uniforms and badges are sold at cost with no mark-up

We believe that Scouting should be a not for profit enterprize

THE  ISQM -STORE IS WHERE WE PURCHASE ALL UNIFORM AND BADGES

Already a Group / Rover Crew with another organization?

First of all the RESA is not seeking to expand its organisation by taking Members from any other organisation  -   Each organisation has its own merits and styles.

RESA However, follow the Traditional and original program and teachings of Baden Powell and his love for the great outdoors

If you feel that what we offer is a little more to your requirments, a little closer to your desire to practice scouting as it once was with all the adventure and out door activity that it would offer

Then we would be pleased to help you, on a  Group / Rover Crew  or on an individual basis, towards a decision on whether or not traditional Scouting is for you

For more information and/or assistance, please e-mail our Chief Commissioner who deals with these matters
