HABSBURG FRINGE TIARA
This diamond fringe tiara had been made in 1900 for Princess Maria Theresia of Braganca, infanta of Portugal (1855-1944), the grandmother of Prince Franz-Josef (by mothers-side). She as married to Archduke Charles Louis, brother of Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria. The piece is covered with diamonds and can be worn as a tiara but also as a necklace.
Princess Gina wore it frequently (I think it was the only tiara she owned) and lent it to her daughters in law Princess Isabelle and Princess Gina for their wedding.
