The Debate-a-Base will be a useful resource to anyone who wants to cut through the BS and actually discuss something.
- A catalogue of debates from Rush versus Reality
- Links to sources of information, like US Government sites, encyclopedias, dictionaries, news sources, and so on
- Lists of logical fallacies, argument techniques, and websites to help you debate better
- Keep track of how often lies are repeated
- Completely user-supported (with cooperation from the managers).
- Impartial. If you want a link added, just ask. Right, left, center, all are welcome to contribute. This is a community resource.
- A new message board for contributing to the Debate-a-Base, and to debate topics in it
Keep in mind, this is to be as impartial as possible. It is not intended as a weapon against any point of view--only against lying, laziness and unsubstantiated claims.
The idea is, there are recurring topics. The same lies appear time and again, and there's nothing you can do but Google it yet again, and post the same refutation for the fifth time.
No more, I say.
Make the point once. Enter it into the Debate-a-Base and it will stay there as long as this site is up and running.
Add to it. Help it grow. If you intend to spend much time here, this should help you get the most out of it.
And if you intend to lie a lot, get ready to be humiliated.
