All are welcome to share their opinions and knowledge at Rush versus Reality. This is a forum for discussion, and as such, it depends on conflicting views to make it interesting.

It is also a web Community. Like any community, its members are expected to conform to certain standards of behavior. Failure to observe these standards will result in deletion of threads, or banishment, or both.

  1. Do not threaten any members of the Community.
  2. Do not use excessively offensive language against other members. Excessively offensive language includes, but is not limited to, racial epithets and egregiously obscene epithets.
  3. Do not post pornography or racially/ethnically offensive material.
  4. Include links or attributions for materials copied or summarized from other sources. Failure to do so may result in deletion of the offending posts.
  5. Do not post excessive graphics, as they slow down the loading of the threads.
  6. Do not post multiple threads on the same topic within a short time period. NO SPAM.
  7. Badly formatted posts that disrupt the thread's format (e.g., wide margins) will be deleted.
  8. Posts that are of excessive length may be deleted.
  9. Posts that repeat a lie, after the lie has been discredited, may be deleted.
  10. Members who have a single-topic agenda may be banned.
  11. Members who post copied material may be banned if they fail to engage in discussion of their posts.
  12. Incoherent posts may be deleted.
  13. Posts promoting commercial pursuits of any kind, or fund-raising activities without legitimate discussion value, may be deleted.
  14. Members whose posts are frequently deleted for rule violations may be banned.
  15. Refusal to answer direct questions may result in banishment.
  16. A banned member who signs up under another name will be banned.
  17. A banned member who signs up after being banned for signing up under another name after being banned should consider professional help.
  18. Except in extreme cases, banishment will last for 2 weeks. A three-strike rule leading to permanent banishment is in effect. All new RvR members are on a 6-month probation period and may be permanently banned for any one serious violation of these rules.
  19. Membership is contingent upon reading these rules. Applications for membership must include a copy of these rules and a statement that the applicant has read them and agrees to abide by them.

These rules are admittedly subjective, and therefore subject to interpretation by the management.
