Hayley has released 3 albums up till now. Her first album, Walking in the Air was released on private label in 2000. She was subsequently contracted by Universal Music, and with that company released two more CDs in 2001, available only in New Zealand. These albums were titled Hayley Westenra and My Gift To You. At the end of 2001, Hayley was contracted by DECCA Music for a series of albums to be released internationally. Recording for the first album was initially finalised in June 2002, but the release was delayed because Hayley's voice was developing. In May 2003, news became available about the releas of her first international album in July, titled Pure.
