| Rare Memorabilia These are the very scarce Todd McFarlane promo Yellow Sub figures. These were sent to comic and toy industry exec's to show them what they looked like. (1999) Here is an original Apple Records matchbook set from the late 1960s, given away in packages of four as a Christmas gift from Apple. It is considered by most collectors to be the ultimate piece to own of all commercial Beatles memorabilia. The 4-speed 17-1/2" x 10" x 6" NEMS record player was manufactered in 1964 and only 5000 were made. Very few survived, making it the most sought after item of Beatles memorabilia. So far only one or two mint or near mint units have turned up - the majority that have surfaced are in worn condition.
The colorful 20" x 11" x 7" packing box is even rarer, only a couple are known to exist. An owners manual was also included . The serial numbers were on a piece of cardboard attached to the inside lid, and in most cases this has fallen off or is missing. The value has nearly doubled in the last three years for upper condition players, selling then from $1500 to $2000 and now in 1997 for $3000 and up, when they can be found. The Sportstime Beatles Redemption Cards These are the rarest four cards out of the whole set of the 1996 Sportstime Beatles Trading card set. The back of the card states that you send the card to Sportstime with $2.95 and they'll return to you a 24kt Gold Signature card. ![[ Hollywood Bowl Press Pass ]](http://www.eskimo.com/~bpentium/beatles/press64.jpg) | Hollywood Bowl Press Pass
Hollywood Bowl, North Highland, Ave. Los Angeles, California August 23, 1964 | The above is a press pass issued to allow the press and other bearers access to the Beatles after their performance at the Hollywood Bowl. So far, this is one of five known copies of this pass to exist. This piece was recently discovered and acquired from a relative of a record industry executive that was prominent back then. UNUSED TICKET FROM 1966 (Capitol EP) Very rare, this one is in original shrinkwrap Original 60's money clip. This is the rare 1st issue Corgi Yellow Submarine toy. This was an early variation that had a very short run. On this issue the yellow and white hatches match the color of the hull and it has the red strip outlining the top half of the sub which the later variation is missing. These characteristics of the sub are found on the sub in the film "Yellow Submarine". This is the way the toy is pictured on the back of the box on all of the packages and in the photograph in the Corgi catalog that came with the toy. According to Perry Cox, this variation is 50 to 1 rarer than the later issues that same year. This is the only Beatles single to feature this Capitol Starline series label style. Released in 1969, it was discontinued very shortly after production when it was realized the label was not correct for the title - making this disc one of the rarest and hardest to find of all Beatle records. The Capitol Starline series design was created to issue other non-Beatle records. The mistake was quickly realized and the change was made. Only a very small amount of this mistaken labeled versions got out. This disk is one of the most rarest Beatle disk that exists . Back to Home Page |
