| Partial Genotypes of some Chicken Feather Patterns
|
|
This table
is incomplete and is only intended as a rough guide to some of the various
patterns that are most common. Please keep this in mind as you look over
this page, as there are possible variations in other flocks of the same type
as well as other genes involved that may not have been noted. The genes that
are listed are those which are directly related to feather patterns.
I have attempted to group the patterns not only
within their "like phenotypes", but also with other patterns that contain
similar genotype groupings. In cases where S, s+ are noted, this is due to
the fact that you can have gold or silver in their homozygous condition as
well as a heterozygous condition in the males. An example of this would be
S//S for a silver laced Wyandotte or s+//s+ for a golden laced Wyandotte.
