The Critiques Corner

Welcome to the Critiques Corner- where you can get some honest input on your current project from the other artist in the group.      The intent of this section is to give you a place to post photos of projects with which you may be having problems, are not sure about, or for which you would welcome some suggestions and additional input.     With any other group there would be concerns about bashing one another's work or hurt feelings- but this group has proven to be so supportive, honest, and able to give suggestions and help in a caring manner that I do not feel the "Corner" will cause us any problems or upset.

Adding Photos When adding photos to your message post, please do so in the following manner... At the top of your message text box there is an ison showing a yellow background and mountains. Hitting this tool button will bring up a new window (this may take a moment...)  Once you have the dialog box on your screen, there should be a tab in the center labled "My Computer"  This section will allow you to browse your computer files.   Select the photo you wish to post and hit the upload button.  The photo will show up right on your message as opposed to being added as an attachement. This should make for faster and easier viewing for those receiving messages directly to their inbox as well as for those checking posts on the site. You may also use the option of the "Link" tool to simply link to the web page where the photo is displayed.  (the link tool if the globe with the chain link in front of it.) This should work for those of you with "Picture Trail" or similar photo share programs.

Subject and message examples... To make sure those receiving messages directly in their in box know that you are posting for a Critique, please add that to your subject line.   Example  "Subject: Nose critique needed" Hi! I am not at all happy with the eye nose on my current Santa - I would love some input on both what is wrong with it as well as some advice on how to fix it.  Thanks..."   etc...   I hope we can all enjoy this page and use it as a way to bounce ideas off one another and get additional sets of artists' eyes through which to seeing our work and ultimately improve it !
