Sarcoid Connection

   

The Sarcoid Connection was started in August of 2002 with the intention of having a few members to exchange ideas with and try to help each other understand what sarcoidosis was.

Fast forward a year later.

We now have over 300 members and three chat sessions to accomodate every one. We have laughed and cried together, we have learned so much from one another that even I found out how little I actually knew. We have so many members with so many different symptoms and yet, we are so much alike that we can relate to each one.

Every now and then we have a small raffle. Nothing big, just to keep it interesting. We try to keep it as interactive as possible.

We're making a sarcoidosis Quilt

Right now we are still accepting squares for our quilt. You will be hearing a lot about this quilt, because this is our project for now. So whether you just joined us, or if you haven't sent in the square, please do so now.

This is still a sarcoidosis site, so don't be afraid to ask questions on sarcoid. I have taken aback a little and let other members answer, but I always check the contents of the messages that get posted.

September 2004

Another year has gone by and we are now over 500 members, but this has been a hard year for us. The site has continued to thrive, will new members joining frequently and old ones becoming family. Our loss was personal, our founder Luiggie passed away leaving forever a hole in our hearts. He founded this site and in honor to him we will continue the Sarcoid Connection, his way. Luiggie made a difference in so many lives, even though he is gone his site lives on and is still helping many cope with Sarcoidosis, make lifetime friends and just live day to day. Luiggie's love and caring made us a family, he let each of us have a voice and allowed us to really become part of the site.  Here is to another year gone by.
