Group Information

This group has been established to help give people with SchizoAffective Disorder and their friends and families a place to find and exchange information, concerns, and comments regarding our combined experiences, hopes, and fears of this illness.  All who either have SchizoAffective Disorder themselves or are friends or family of those who do, can find a home here with us.  I (Drendal/Manager) started this group because i was unable to find any other place where i could share things with others who had the commonality of this illness.  The strangest combination of aspects of both Schizophrenia and Affective or Mood Disorders, SchizoAffective Disorder is a relatively "new" concept to the psychological and mental health communities.  It is up to us, the consumers and friends and family of those who are consumers to bring more public attention and more attention within the psychological community to our illness and let the world know we are here and we not only count as people, but that we are different in our own way from those with other mental illnesses.

Please take your time to browse our message board(s), photo album and links pages.  Thank you for stopping by

Rules and Generalities of Respect and Conduct

This is a site of information and support.  Please act in a respectable manner and you will be respected by others here as well.  No profanity allowed on message boards as some are offended by it and frankly, it is unnecessary.  Leave it as you found it, this is a place to inform and comfort, garbage will not be tolerated!  Any problems with these rules can be Emailed directly to the Manager and they will be dealt with promptly.  More rules will be added in the future when and if it is necessary.  Thank you to all who read and respect these rules, your time is appreciated.
