Hi there, this is the web page of ScottiesCustomFlies. Mainly based in Australia, we cover fly fishing world wide. As well as the rest of the undermanagers in Australia, we have another very experienced manager in America " Larry Gibbs", "Larry" hails from "Sumner" Washington and keeps the site well informed for the guys from over there. So all overseas visitors are most welcome where ever you are from.
If you are interested in fly fishing, or fly tying in the least, or you should like to learn more about it !! then this is the site for you !! I am a PRO FLY TIER in Riverhills, Brisbane. you can normally find me in Anglers Warehouse on a Sunday, if I am not following the pursuit of the long wand, or in Riverhills the rest of the week, where I'll be ensconsed for the next few years.. Most of the guys in the group are very experienced in flyfishing and will give advise freely, you will find recipes for fly tying, tying instructions and a large photos of each fly, in the site, [ we did get an award for this, from America <REELFISHN.COM>] we have since received another award from there. Good news again, received a new award from " Angling news " received a , "Top site award " !!! . So congratulation to all who participate in sending in reports. Feel free to send in your report or photos if you haven't done so before.
We also give a weekly fishing report, (and updates if required), for the areas, from the "Snowy's" to" Somerset Dam "in the fresh water. The dams to the north of Brissie" are well covered by Dale Sinclair" , "<AUSSIEBASSER>" Dale" is a well know " Fisho " and is well thought of in the tournament scene and has also stared in some fishing films etc. for anything from Barramundi way up north , to trout, way down south in Victoria. Yours truly helps out on the dam scene, as far as where I have been fishing. I also give saltwater reports from " Ballina" to "Southport", Tweed River, Tally Creek ,and Currumbin Creek. "The part middle of the "Gold Coast" is well covered by one of the better known fishing guides covering the smooth water fishing tours in that holiday part of "QLD", <ANGUS@ALURING.COM.AU>"ANGUS COLLINS" . "ANGUS" was almost born on the water in "Surfers Paradise" and if any-one knows where to catch fish in this area, then be assured that he is the top GUYhe is almost on first name terms with the fish, as he is on the water every day weather permitting.If you should like to add your own report, about your area, feel free as we like to hear what is going on here and overseas !!

Our aim is to make this the largest collection of quality tied flies, in Australia, with instructions on how to make your own, using these instructions but not forgetting flies suitable for use throughout the world. We will have from 350 to 450 flies on the sites at all times, currently putting on at least ten new flies every week,. either on this site, or our other one.
