Live Role Play (LRP) Live Role Play (LRP), has been running for many years and Seaxe & Sorcery has started to get involved with a vengeance. About 5 years ago we went to our first game at Labyrinthe, since then we have both played and monstered in a variety of systems and genres ranging from low fantasy to Science Fiction / Conspiracy. For those not used to it LRP is roleplaying with a difference. Instead of describing your actions you do it... If you can't and the system doesn't have a way round it then it doesn't happen. That's not to say imagination isn't important, in fact there are still many things in roleplaying that can't be replicated in real life easily.... Magic for example. So there are certain rules and a little imagination still required, but for most systems you will still have to do what your character would, for example spell casters must learn verbals and sometimes gestures, and in combat whilst rules can change how much people are effected by you damage, if you can't hit someone with your sword they don't get damaged... it's that simple (almost) We in Seaxe & Sorcery have got involved in a number of commercial systems including Curious Pastimes, as part of "House Alu'rethi" a member of the Viper faction Labyrinthe Legion of Dreams Trolls head Chimera Leisure Continuing the ingenuity we are also fostering relationships with other amateur systems including Legends of Elsinor, run by one of our members. As the site progresses we hope to bring you more advice on starting and help with some of the terminology involved.
