After several weeks trying to research my grandparents I finally found details of their marriage here. All too good to miss. I was evacuated to Aston Rowant during WW2 and lived with my uncle and aunt William and Beatrice Seymour, attending Chinnor School.

What should I do now?

Hi Bob just type in what you know of your family tree so that others may see
*************************************************************
Henry Seymour, b 4.10.1862 Chinnor
Laura Gibson, b. Sydenham 12.4.1867
Married at Sydenham Parish Church 1.5.1889
They had the following children all born at Chinnor:
Annie b. 26.11.1889
Laura b. 31.3.1891 (my mother)
Emma b. 24.2.1895
Rose b. 19.10.1896
William George b. 21.8.1898
Adelina Edith b. 5.8.1904
Henry Thomas b. 28.4.1910
There were certainly a lot of Seymours around when I was there during the war, but I was not particularly interested in them at the time! There was a Mrs Seymour teaching in the Infant School who came and spoke to me one day when she heard I was staying with my uncle (William George above). She explained her realtionship to me but I've long forgotten. My mother started at Chinnor School as a pupil teacher but had to quit to go into service. Alas I have no photograph of the school. I imagine it's been rebuilt since my days there but I'm going down on a visit in a few weeks.
The only pupil I can remember was a Janet Croxford who had lovely dark eyes, but she never reciprocated my affection. Good thing, perhaps, since the Croxfords are related to the Seymours.!
One last thing for now. In the list of grandchildren, etc. in my grandparents' family bible is a note to say William Seymour died (Australia) July 28th 1927. Can you solve the mystery of this relation?
Thanks again for all the good work.
Bob.
