I have just updated some of the data on my family below. The new items are bold. (14 Oct 2002)
The story that's been passed down in our family is that Edward Seymour was the 3rd son of a titled family (isn't that always the verbal history...everyone has such a need to feel important!). He had an education and was an accountant. He worked for his family at their holdings in France. Records place him in France minimally between 1879-1882. He then took his family and moved to Canada, where he kept books for Seagram's. It appears he moved to Michigan, USA between 1890-1892. I am a descendant of his daughter, Florence.
I would really like to trace my Seymour line further, and welcome any information on any individuals that trace to my family.
