Thank You for your interest in our happy little family. This holt has been operational for over 15 years now. At one time, this Holt had a sister holt called Whisper Vine and it was our main newsletter. After 30 successful issues, we decided to combine the two holts and have more fun. We hope the effort is worth it. This holt consist of mostly artist and authors who love to write and draw elves based on the ELFQUEST comic book. This fan club is authorized by WaRP Graphics and we are an official member of their Fan Club. We hope you will enjoy your time with us and be part of our ever growing family.

Membership consists of two types. The Contributors: If you contribute art, stories, poetry, etc...you get that issue free, if you contribute all the time, you'll never
have to pay. If unable to contribute for that issue, we ask for a small donation of $4.00. With this type of Membership, you will receive a Character Profile Guide. That is a very good value because at present time, it cost over $40.00 to print and $7.00 to ship.

Subscriptions: If you just want to get a copy of the newsletter and gripe and complain that it is late, it's $20.00 a year for 4 issues. Each issue roughly cost me 8.00 to print, but I only charge a member 5.00 per issue. With a subscriber membership, you do not get a character profile guide.

The Newsletter is called Night Tails and currently is being done at least 3 times a year.

Back issues are available. #’s 1-7 are $15.00 for all 7, this includes postage. #’s 8-13 are $5.00 a piece, and 14-20 are 7.00 a piece. This includes postage. you can get all the issues for a grand total of 75.00. postage alone on this package os 19.95. so this is a great bargan.

Right now there are 4 tribes , 1 tribe has two tribes in one. You can have your elves in all the tribes, or just pick one or two of the tribes and play with them.

Shadow Vale: This is your basic Wolfrider Tribe, they are led by Chieftess
Silvergrace. They bond with wolves but also have a herd of horses that are
caught and trained by Spiritdancer that the elves use from time to time.
Average height is 4'0-4'8, depending upon age some can be taller. Hair and
eye colors tend to run mostly on the darker side, with very few native blonds
or lighter hair colors. Talents are few and far between. You are allowed 4-6 in this tribe provided that you use them.
Whisper Vine: These are the cat-blooded elves. They are led by Chieftess Laughter. This tribe wandered for 33 years until settling near SVH after their home was destroyed by Poison and Dreamveil, two fanatical elves (their fate is unknown) then a devastating earthquake hit and half the tribe left, leaving the other half to rebuild. They bond with the big cats, tigers, panthers, lions, etc...and some of the smaller cats.. jaguars, lynx, etc...Average height for them is 4'5-5'1, hair and eye colors are a wide variety.
Everyone can send and Powers in this tribe is very rare. You are allowed 4-6 in this tribe provided you use them.
Surf Riders/Ocean Dwellers: : The Surf Riders (SR) are a group of sea faring elves, before they decided to get on the boat and travel with Whisper Vine,
they lived in on an island and lived in underwater caverns. They have soul names. They tend to carry lighter genes and have light hair and eye colors, there are some exceptions of course. The SR's can breath underwater without the need for gills for up to 30 minutes. They wear very little in the way of clothing and NO SHOES!
Ocean Dwellers (OD): These are the mer-elves of the tribe, they recently lost their leader and wandered around the ocean for days before meeting the SR by accident. Most have long fins, but some are just as normal looking as the SR's. This group does not have soul names. With their fins, they range from 6'0-7'0. Fins are usually either a solid or multicolored. Hair also tends to be very light with tints of green due to the constant water
contact. Since they live in the water, they do not wear any cloth, but the females do use seashells to cover their breast. Both groups do not have nor need magical powers, though there are some. There are no Healers in this tribe and there never will be. They bond with dolphins, mantas, whales, etc. Both groups are led by Chief Swifteel. You are allowed 2 elves in each tribe.

Eyrie: : These are the Gliders of our holt. They are pure blooded and led by
Chief Truehawk. They do not have soul names and recognition is very, very
rare. They have three groups in this Holt. The Gliders are bonded to great hawks and have wing groups, with a wing leader in each group. Average height for these guys is 5'4-6'5. Magic runs very strong in this tribe, as 3/4 of the population are gliders, the other
1/4 are Groundlings. A Groundling cannot glide and has either a major or
minor magical talent. Anti/Healers are already taken and we need no more. The Winglies are a new branch of the gliders, only they have angel wings. There are 12 so far and no more can be taken until we see how this trend goes. Winglie’s have an average wingspan of 10-15’, wings may be multicolored. A Winglie birth is very rare and that is why there are so few. It is very rare for two Winglie’s to recognize, and even rarer to have a Winglie give birth to another Winglie. It is even rarer to have two Winglie’s in the same family, however the first twins ever born to the Eyrie were Winglies, Fallflame and Winterfire. All Winglie’s are in the same Wing Group.

You are allowed 4 in this tribe, 3 must be gliders, 1 must be a groundling. Hair
and eye colors varies. These guys also wear very elaborate clothing and jewelry. True to form, the Gliders have a nasty bad High One named Nightbringer who is sort of like Winnowill, but much, much nastier.

Winglie’s are very rare and to have one of these you must wait until a position becomes available. Then a message will be posted and it will be awarded to the member who can create the best character. This character’s gender will be decided by the Holt Leader as the Winglie’s numbers will be equal.
