Program Information
for the
Storytelling Ministry of
Sharon Kirk Clifton
Sharon says, "It is my greatest pleasure to tell stories that reflect the life and teaching of my Saviour Jesus Christ. Though we say that the Bible is made of many books, it actually is One Story...that of the Son of God; He is the protagonist throughout!"
God from the Beginning - This program tells the Story of the Greatest Hero, God. (30 to 45 minutes; for all ages)
Cries of Faith and Family - The parables and stories in this collection contain Biblical truths that speak to the heart. Some of the stories are straight from God's Word; some are from the pens of today's best Christian writers and are told with their permission. (30 to 60 minutes; for all ages)
Awake Again, America! - Sharon portrays Sarah Farley, an early settler, who was present at the birth of the Second Great Awakening in Logan County, Kentucky, and later at Cane Ridge in Bourbon County, Kentucky. As Farley, she tells about the leaders of that spiritual awakening: Bishop Francis Asbury, Rev. James McGready, Rev. Barton Stone, and Rev. Timothy Dwight. Through Farley's eyes, you will experience those early camp meetings. The message is this: God, Who Is the same yesterday, today, and forever, honored the fervent prayers and fasting of a remnant of His people then, when the frontier was a wild and restless place; He will do it today, if His people will obey His Word. (approximately 45 minutes; for families and upper elementary through adult)
Hadassah: A Woman for Such a Time as This - This is the beloved story of a courageous young Jewish woman chosen to be queen of Persia, but willing to be clay in the Potter's Hands at a time when it could cost her life. (approximately 45 minutes; for families and upper elementary through adult)
The Boy Who Loved Music - This program is based on a story by Dr. Stephen Brown of Key Life Mininsties. Ebed wants to be able to play the piano more than anything in the world, but his family is poor and can afford neither the instrument nor the lessons. But when he meets Manny, the Piano Teacher, he learns a valuable lesson that carries him throughout his life, even when he stumbles along the way. (approximately 45 minutes; for families and elementary through adult)
NOTE: Customized programs are available.
Workshops
Family Storytelling Workshop - Consider hosting a Family Storytelling Workshop for your church, group, or family reunion, where participants learn how to preserve their own family's oral history, including their legacies of faith. This is an excellent session for a "Ladies' Day Away" or retreats.
Biblical Storytelling Workshop - Designed for groups who want to enliven their own Sunday school, Bible study, children's worship, youth department, or VBS lessons or presentations, participants learn how to research, prepare, and tell stories from God's Word and contemporary tales containing Biblical truth. This workshop can include ideas pertinent to puppet ministry, also.
