Pellucidar is a world that resides approximately 500 miles beneath your Earth's surface. It is a hollow world, with a sun in the center, and a small moon. There are continents, and oceans. With the sun as a constant in the center, there is no night. There is no concept of 'Time'. 'Time' is measured by 'Sleeps'. With our world being at the hollowed out center of your world, we have no 'Horizon'. Our view, on a clear day, will see our world curving upwards into an amazing view!
Our world is populated by many types of animals. Including Thipdars and Sagoths.
There are civilizations, other cities and other intelligence on Pellucidar.
The other intelligent race on Pellucidar, besides we humans, are the Mahars, which are an intelligent flying reptile, who take and hold humans captive, as slaves and as food.
The story of Dian the Beautiful (myself, Amar), and my mate, David Innes can be found on the Incredible World of Pellucidar.
Our story was chronicled by the author Edgar Rice Burroughs in a series of seven novels.
