Rules * UPDATED 07/06/07 *   1.  No God-moding. That is, no taking over someone else's characters' actions or dialogue (UNLESS you have been given explicit permission). This includes injuring, killing, speaking for, and making up reactions for other people.  2.  No spamming. 3.   Your character must sign up for at least one class (after being sorted) before they begin posting.  4.  Concerning uniforms: all students wear the Singline Academy robes, which are black with their house crest on the upper left breast. Beneath these robes are khaki pants for boys and khaki pants or skirts for girls. The students also wear either short-sleeved or long-sleeved polo shirts in their house color. All shoes are to be black in color. Uniforms are to be worn Monday through Friday starting when classes begin at 8 a.m. until the conclusion of classes at 3 p.m., after which time they may change. The only exception to this rule is if a class is held late at night (i.e. for Astronomy) and then the uniform must be worn. Uniforms are not required on weekends. 5.   No advertising for other groups/websites without the permission of the manager(s). 6.   Respect the managers and other members. 7.   If your characters must curse, please keep it to mild profanities. This is a site for younger teenagers as well. Words such as f*** and g**d*** are absolutely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. 8.  Your character may have special abilities like Occlumens, Legilmens, vampire, and werewolf, but if they are abused they will be revoked. The Headmaster and the Deputy Headmistress must be informed of your special abilites and classes will not be changed or altered in any way for your student to attend. (ie: If you are a vampire you will not be able to take night classes. All classes are during the day with a few sessions of CoMC or Astronomy scheduled at night. If you are a werewolf you are to still attend your classes as scheduled with the exception of those nighttime sessions for CoMC and Astronomy during a full moon.)  9. Your character may not have any relation to J.K. Rowling's characters without the permission of the manager. You may include this request on the Sorting Board when you post your character. 10.  Please use proper grammar and spelling. Everyone makes mistakes and posts every now and then, but posting: "Sally wuz like soooooooo mad at Joe bcuz he were beeing the wurld's bigest jurk!!!!!" is totally unacceptable. Additionally, all posts need to be in third person (He shouted at Sally. as opposed to I shouted at Sally.) and in past tense (Sally waved to Joe. as opposed to Sally waves at Joe.). If you have any problems with this type of roleplaying, please ask the manager (Areida08) or assistant managers (Ariella24 and Dani_lass) for assistance. 11.   No fighting. This is another part of respecting the managers and other members. If you've got a problem with another member or one of the managers, either e-mail one of the managers or handle it with that member through e-mail or some other mode of communication. We don't want to hear about it on the boards. 12. The site's rating was General for the first two years, but was recently upped to Mature to accomodate more serious/sexually explicit storylines. This does not mean that there are no limits to what can be done on the site, but as long as it is done tastefully, you don't necessarily have to "fade to black" on things you would have had to previously. If you have a question about how far is too far, feel free to e-mail any of the managers to ask. 13.  Most of our classes are now in roleplay form, which essentially means that you don't have to do homework and our teachers don't have to spend so much time preparing lessons because there's this weird thing that keeps on getting in the way called "real life". Isn't it odd? We try to avoid it, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. *shrugs* 14.  You must post a picture of your character in your sorting post. This picture must be of a REAL PERSON; no anime or cartoon pictures are permitted. Post one picture of your character (after they are sorted) into the House albums, and then you can use the "Misc. Pictures" album for any additonal pictures. DO NOT create an album specifically for your pictures. Things get too cluttered that way. 15.  No blank applications. You don't have to give your life story or your roleplaying history; just tell us, "Hey the site looks fun, I'd like to join in. I've got a couple of characters in mind and maybe a professor" or something like that (it's helpful if you spell stuff right *hint hint*). But no blank applications. They'll be rejected.  16. Before you begin posting, you must be sorted. At the Sorting Board, you must include the following information:            1. Full Name            2. Age            3. Personality            4. Physical Appearance            5. Family History            6. Birthplace            7. Picture  (Add only ONE picture to your application)            8. Did you read these rules?   The management reserves the right to cancel the membership of any member without notice if they deem necessary. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in deduction of points from your house, even instant banning.
