Bi Kidude

 

The legacy of Siti continues through this  fascinating lady.  Bi Kidude (Fatuma Binti Baraka) is a protègè of Siti Binti Saad.  She started studying Taarab with Siti Binti Saad when she was a young girl.   She is more than 90 years old and still going strong.   She always thanks the late Siti for her mentoring.  I had the privilege of meeting Bi Kidude in Zanzibar in 1993.
