First of all, I have to tell you that I am so sore from my trainer that I can hardly move. I can't believe this guy. He really works me hard. But now my arms are so sore I can barely bend them and it's going to make it really hard to do anything else. LOL! I'm using the Russian cream the Mitrofanov's gave me for injuries and soreness and also using Ben-Gay. I kind of switch back and forth. Tomorrow I'll be working legs so I will really be hurting by Friday! I'm sure I will get used to it soon but I haven't worked this hard for a long time.
I have picked out my artistic music. It's called "Remember" by Josh Groban. Right now my programs are "Art on Ice" for the LP and I don't know the name of the SP. When I move up I will have to add on to both of them. I'm thinking of one of Edvin Marton's songs to add on or maybe even change my short.
First semester was great with Arizona Connections Academy. I received all As so am really happy about that. I really love the school. It's perfect for my schedule. Anyway, better get back to it so will write more later.

First of all I have to tell you it snowed here in Arizona! I remember that about once a year there would be a cold come through with rain and then there would be snow on the mountains that you could see in the distance, usually on 4 peaks or the Superstition Mountains. But, it actually snowed in Phoenix! In Mesa kids made snowmen. Many kids took off school because the snow event is so rare. The snow covered all of the mountains on the edge of the city and it was so beautiful! There were snow storms north and east in the higher mountains.

Superstition Mountains
Anyway, it was very cool here for a few days. I like the cold so it was great! But, it was very short lived. After a few days the snow has disappeared from even the distant mountains we view everyday while driving to the rink.
I think we are starting to get situated here. We still have a few things to get for the apartment and hopefully this weekend we will have all of that stuff done. I got started back on a weight training program. It's free here with the City of Tempe. What's so cool is I have a personal trainer helping me and it's free through the city if you live within the Tempe city limits. That is perfect for us. I have my scheduled class three times a week. Then, I think we are joining the YMCA because it's not too far from us and the price is right. I am running some at the college track on our way home from skating. Our journey to the rink is 20 miles one way.
The "Alice in Wonderland" play is going great! I love going every single time we perform! Tomorrow morning I have to go early for a special performance for a couple private schools. I'm doing one of the other parts but that is ok. I just love being a part of Desert Stages.
US Nationals is going on right now. There are quite a few skaters from the Alltel rink that are competing. Max Aaron, a novice boy, placed 5th overall, which is awesome! His sister, Molly also competed at the novice level. Douglas Razzano, a junior guy, placed 3rd in his short, which is so amazing because the field is really tough! Then there are several pair teams competing. Tiffany Vise and Derek Trent are competing tonight in senior pairs. I hope they do good. They are the nicest people!
Ok, am going to sign off. I want to go to youtube.com and check out some of my favorite skaters' programs.
Will write later,

It's a new year and I just know it's gonna be a good one. Everything is new for me and I'm starting all over again. My mom and I are in our new apartment in Arizona. This past year has been long and hard but we are finally situated and moving forward. I'm so excited by what lies ahead.
First of all, my New's Year Eve was awesome! My mom and I went to the New Year's Eve Block Party in Tempe, Az.
We met my brothers there. Yes, Josh was in town-Yea! He came to the block party with his girlfriend, Robyn. We all met up and it was so good to be together with my family on New Year's Eve. We took tons of pics and I can't wait to get them developed so I can share them. The block party was cool because it's also the Fiesta Bowl party. The two teams this year were Oklahoma and Boise State. They all flooded the streets. It was kind of cold at the party, though, especially by the main stage, which is next to the Tempe Towne Lake, but it was a lot of fun. The main stage had Vanessa Carlton and Third Eye Blind. There were lots of fun family activities including rides, family circus, music stages, magic acts, dance groups, yummy food, etc. It's one of the top places to be on New Year's Eve.
Lately I have been very involved in the play "Alice in Wonderland".
I made the part of talking tree and card at Desert Stages in Scottsdale, Az. I love it there! I forgot how much I missed that theatre. It has been hard, though, because Gerry isn't there anymore. He died of a heart attack about a year and a half ago and the theatre is still mourning his death, as am I. He was an amazing director and teacher. He was like family. Today we did recordings of his original songs and it was so emotionally draining because I couldn't help but feel so sad. I really miss him. Anyway, if you get the chance please come see the play. Desert Stages is an awesome theatre! Check out times and dates at www.desertstages.com .
Can you see me? I'm above Gerry with my chin in the air.
I am juggling a lot right now but I love it! Skating is the best! (Thanks Grandpa Boyd for the ice time) I am really in need of new blades. UGH! There really isn't anything left of my blades but I'm still on the ice. We are struggling financially because of the move so I'm not able to buy new skates and blades. Please pray about this because it's a HUGE need right now. My mom has a lot of pain with her fibromyalgia so pray about that too.
My grandma got us tickets to the new Stars on Ice show for Christmas. The show is coming up soon and I can hardly wait! Angela Nikodinov is in the show but she won't be appearing at the Phoenix one. I was disappointed to hear that because I really wanted to see her again. I miss her. She is such a beautiful skater. I'm so proud of her for overcoming the car accident that took her mom's life and took away her skating. But, she fought back and is better than ever. She's living her dream.
The weather has been really cold here! It's so strange because we live in the desert. It was in the 20s the last couple nights. Brrrr! I thought I was back in Omaha!!! I like the cold though! If we had time we'd drive up north to the snow but I'm so busy right now that I don't think we'll get the chance this year.
Oh, a really fun thing that happened was when my brother, Jeremy, took me to the Fall Out Boy concert.
My brother really likes music and has a way about getting in to concerts. I got a T-shirt and had it signed by them. It was so cool! Thanks bro! The best concerts are at my church though. My church is called East Valley Bible and it's so cool! Every other Wednesday night we have what's called FUEL. It's youth group that meets in an auditorium at the church. It starts out with great music! (It's really loud though and you might have to wear ear plugs if you go and the church actually provides them. Ha!) Then there is preaching that is actually great teaching at the youth level. After prayer there is more music! It's really great! Then every other Wednesday night we have small groups and that's really good too.
Ok, well gotta get to bed because I have school in the morning. I"m in a really great school called Arizona Connections Academy. It's an online school through the public school system. I like it a lot. You can check it out at www.connectionsacademy.com .
Have a great night!
Love,
