TUBBS SNOWSHOES

TUBBS MOUNTAIN SNOWSHOES SERIES

SNOW SHOE SPECS:

  • Mountain snowshoe is designed for those seeking the highest-performance snowshoe.
Rigid Control System binding provides lateral stability and directional control.
Lightweight aluminum frame is streamlined for medial clearance.
The Viper crampon has a 3-point design that positions the teeth forward for climbing traction and a secure hold on steep pitches.

REVIEWS:

  1. I don't have a lot of experience in choosing snowshoes and the Tubbs Mountain Snowshoes are the first ones I have ever bought. I performed quite a bit of research, and I chose to go with Tubbs from Vermont. I think it is the brand to choose. They've been around a long time and have been on the forefront of research and design. These snow shoes are holding up great. Really strong and don't get beat up on extreme climbs and terrain. Excellent crampons that cling to anything! I do know much else except that these really work! I've ascended many mountains, walked over huge snow drifts and very treacherous and icy conditions with never a problem. I've heard Tubbs is really great about any questions you ever have and are more than willing to help you out.

TUBBS ALTITUDE SNOWSHOES SERIES

SNOWSHOE SPECS:

  • Versatile performance in all snow conditions.
SureTrac aluminum crampons feature a split-jaw design for improved traction.
Full rotation of cramp ons digs in deep for efficient stride as the tail drops to shed snow and minimize fatigue.
Comfortable and reliable Bear Hug bindings work with any shoe type.

REVIEWS:

  1. I recommend these for anyone who is serious about snowshoeing and plans to use them regularly on variable terrain and all snow conditions. The snowshoe bindings are well geared for plastic mountaineering boots or heavy leather boots and the bindings have a ratcheting system that won't freeze up like systems that require lacing and they hold tight. Also easy to adjust with gloves on. I've used the Altitudes for climbing and all kinds of nasty weather. The decking is virtually indestructable. The aggressive crampons sink into hard crusty snow easily. The fully rotating toe cord makes it possible for you to kick your feet in ascending steep slopes, unlike fixed toe cords which put the front of the snow shoe in the way. The shape of the shoe also allows for a natural stride.

TUBBS ELEVATION SNOWSHOES SERIES

SNOWSHOE SPECS:

  • A versatile, lightweight snowshoe for all snow conditions and all the but steepest terrain.
Nexus binding system offers easy on and off using all types of footwear.
Binding also offers a secure hold for stability and articulation.
Stainless steel Talon crampons for articulated bite into all types of winter terrain.
Tubbs Elevation uses an Easton aluminum frame and Arctec decking for maximum flotation and lightness.

TUBBS ADVENTURE SNOWSHOES SERIES

SNOW SHOE SPECS:

  • Waterproof DuraTex/NexTec decking that is tough and maintenance free.
Virtually indestructible 6000 Easton Aluminum tubing in the frame.
Patented Control Wings on the binding wrap around the shoe or boot to keep the heel centered control and balance.
Tapered tail provides optimum balance and flotation in all snow conditions.
Aluminum toe and heel crampon deliver traction in variable snow conditions.

REVIEWS:

  1. I own the Adventure 30 series and feel that they are a great value. I do not snowshoe regularly but I do trek around the local park a several times with my dog during the winter. I think that the Tubbs Adventure "floating" quality is as good as some of the other higher end models I've tested. My only criticism of the Adventure's from Tubbs is the bindings. They are not easy to fasten your shoes into with cold fingers. So plan on keeping the snow shoes on the entire time you are outside.
